Trauma helpline reports massive rise in calls

The Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center, an NGO to support victims of trauma from war and terrorism, reports a massive increase in the number of calls to its helpline.

The NGO says its helpline (1-800-363363) received hundreds of calls between 9.30 am and 5.30pm, with most of the calls in the morning coming from central Israel and most of the calls in the afternoon coming from residents of the south.

The IDF says the helpline will be operating on an emergency footing and will be manned around the clock.
