Report: Syrian protesters destroy statue of former President Hafez Assad

Protesters vandalized a statue of former Syrian President Hafez Assad in the southern city of Daraa, al-Arabiya network reported on Monday. The report also claimed protesters set fire to the house of the dismissed governor, as well as other municipal buildings. (Roee Nahmias)
