augustine johnson ,   birmingham, alabama   (11.06.06)
the simpliest reading of the Bible is that those who help israel are blessed --- i would like to see a bigger greater israel , new temple , jewish messiah -- yes we believe he is yeshua but he will have to prove himself -- --- meanwhile i am happy to see israel occupy more and more land , as for the arabs, they can live in any of the arab states they desire =====shalom to israel =========augustine
62. Christians for Israel
Jose Nigrin ,   USA   (11.06.06)
To my knowledge most Cristhians, love jews and Israel, because of their belief in the whole Bible.

IF THEY TRULY LOVE AM YISRAEL,THE XTIANS MUST ACCEPT THE YOKE OF TORAH AND BECOME GEIRIM!!!
64. Steve (the Jew) You're right
Andy ,   USA   (11.06.06)
Steve, I'm an evangelical Christian myself. Even if I didn't read the article in full, if this is true what Mr. Brog said, then I have to agree with you. I was a stauch supporter of Bush but that has been more and more waning within the last years. Primarily because of his role in the Disengagement. I would tell others that Bush has as much blood on his hand as Sharon and Olmert for what happened in Amona. And remember Steve, I'm an evengelical Christian and lover of Zion who makes this statement.
65. #55 You prove my point exactly.
Sheikh yer Bu'Tay ,   Dar al-Harb   (11.06.06)
What is so ironic of you passing judgement on American Evangelicals it is they who fight abortion the hardest! Catholics back Democrats, who refuse to pass legislation against abortion. During Gulf War 1, when Saddam was firing Scud missiles at Israel, who came to your defense? Who manned those Patriot anti-missile batteries that stopped the Scuds? In 1973, the Yom Kippor war, who was it that airlifted tons of munitions to Israel? When Saddam put a bounty on the head of every Israeli for suicide bombers to kill (USD $25,000) who removed him from power? I could go on and on, but what is the point? It has become a waste of time.

Its clear for all Christian all over the word, that Israel is a people of G-d, and its clear that we were grafted in the olive, and its is clear that the salvation comes from the jws, and its is clear that G-d order us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem Shalom
67. Good for you Andy!
Steve ,   USA   (11.06.06)
You are one in a million, or a billion, I suspect.
68. #1 & #46: JOHN, MOSHE
Roger ,   Minneapolis, MN USA   (11.06.06)
First, John, you have EVERY right to be skeptical - historically, Christians have done horrendous things to the Jews in the name of "Christ." Yet, don't forget the Christains in the Netherlands who went to the gas chambers for attempting to save Jews from the Germans. (ref: Corrie ten Boom, www.corrietenboom.com) Moshe, thank you for the blessing. I truly believe that what you are seeing is the Sirit of G-D moving in the hearts of people. My journey started when I took G-D's covenant with Abraham seriously - the words "never ending" to me mean "NEVER ENDING." The Noahide Laws are the root of what is called the "Judao-Christian" ethic but I find myself now going beyond them: dietary choices that omit G-D's garbage collectors and a deep desire for Shabbat - our lives have just gotten too crazy. During the past couple of years I have come to see how Constantine's "paganizing" of Christianity planted the seeds of all the events that have alienated John. "Christmas" and "Easter" have lost their appeal to me; the richness of the Feasts have grabbed me. I'm doing this and learning Hebrew to convert Jews? Give me a break... something is stirring in my spirit to draw be closer into the truth of our G-D. Truth: casting off the pagan lies of Ishtar et al; "our" G-D: the G-D of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. I know the theological arguments THAT statement can start - not my intent to offend - but in reality, we have SO much more in common that not. I know our differences and will honor your right to disagree and love all the more. I think G-D is doing a lot of cleansing and scrubbing in my life right now and I don't think I'm the only one - and love for Israel and her conenant people are just one flower on the branch.

It is very hard for any jews to trust anyone who calls themselves a Christian, history reminds me of this, but there are people who have studied the Written Word and see how important the Jews are to G-d. I do believe that Many eyes have been opened in the Christian World.
70. Christian Zionists
Sandy Kespohl ,   Delano, USA   (11.06.06)
Have just read the article. For what it is worth, we as evangelicals do believe what our Bibles tell us and that Israel is God's chosen people. If some think they read otherwise in their Bibles, we are not reading the same Book. For me personally, I am devoted to God and to Jesus. And I know that without the Jewish nation, I would not have a Bible, a Savior nor one ounce of hope. So I thank you Israel and whatever happens I will always love that little country by the Mediterranean and the chosen people of God. I have faith that no matter what the world does that is evil, I know that you can take care of it. Even for us Americans. So, thanx again, and you have more supporters in the US than you know. Sandy Kespohl
71. Hagee says non-Christians are going to hell
Mark ,   Canada   (11.06.06)
Imagine my surprise at reading an article sent to me from the Dallas Morning News today and seeing that Rev Hagee is quoted as follows: "If you live your life and don't confess your sins to God almighty through the authority of Christ and his blood, I'm going to say this very plainly, you're going straight to hell with a nonstop ticket," Mr. Hagee said during a service interspersed with religious and patriotic videos. Full article: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/texassouthwest/stories/110606dnTSWperry.351c57c.html By the way, Gov. Rick Perry of Texas said that he agreed with the minister that non-Christians will be condemned to hell. His opponent in tomorrow's election, Kinky Friedman, said this "hits pretty close to home"!!
72. dacon9
pumpkin pie ,   future mrs dacon9??   (11.07.06)
you've been kind of mean to me in the past, so i'm not too sure about converting in order to date you. what if you turn out to be the type who won't even hold open doors for me? but......just in case i decide to convert so that we can have a date, would a reform conversion be ok? :-) all kidding aside, i'm very sorry you don't have a wife anymore.

pumpkin pie, not the   (11.07.06)
so you want me to get an orthodox conversion in order to date you? well, it wouldn't have worked out between us anyway. just think about it: after I have an orthodox conversion, we meet, and you take one look at my bonde-haired blue-eyed charms and next thing you know we are married. while you went to work each day, i'd keep the house clean and always make sure the caps lock key was pushed in on your computer, and i'd cook all day, fixing cholent, hamantashen and rugalach, and wold teach our our children about the pagan evils of halloween. everything would be fine, until one night when i'd burn the pork chops, and before you could say 'XTIAN' i'd be an agunah.
77. PUMKIN THATS EXACTLY WHY CONVERSIONS DONT WORK GENERALLY
PUMKIN IS FUNNY BUT ,   HER WORDS SERIOUS   (11.07.06)
PUMPKIN.. YOUR EXAMPLE IS WHY MANY MANY COMMUNITIES DO NOT GO ALONG WITH CONVERSION.. IF YOU BURNED PORKCHOPS.. THEN YOU WOULD BE A XTIAN.. ...AND NOT FOLLOWING THE LAWS OF TORAH.. IF YOU MAKE PORK WHY WOULD YOU HAVE WANTED TO CONVERT? TO MARRY?.... THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.. YOU DONT CONVERTED TO GET MARRIED? THAT IS AN INVALID CONVERSION AND IMMEDIATLY YOU WOULD NO LONGER BE A JEW IN THE EYES OF 'GD' JUDAISM IS NOT A JOKE. MOST DO NOT TAKE IT LIGHTLY. WE MARRY TO HAVE CHILDREN TO INTURN SERVE 'GD' THEM SELFS. YOU ARE RIGHT... IT WOULD NEVER WORK OUT IN THE LONG RUN... I WILL STAY WITH MY JEWISH COMMUNITY AND YOU STAY WITH YOUR XTIANS AND WE WILL SAY HELLO AT THE MT OF 'GD' WHEN MASHIACH COMES AND YOU WILL KNOW THE CHOSEN AND THE ONE HOLY 'GD' GD OF ISRAEL. AND YOU WILL FOLLOW THE LAWS PRESCRIBED FOR YOU.. THE NOAHIDE LAWS AND BE A RIGHTOUS NON JEW GOYA.

I was just trying to be funny with the pork comment. I don't even eat pork! if i ever converted, it would be a very seriously thought-out thing on my part. no one should ever convert just to get married (or to date) if a person converts, it should be between them and God and something they do because they feel very deeply within that it is what they are called to do. anything less is a lie. thanks, dacon9, and best wishes to you (and your caps lock key)

80. Judaism & Christianity
Austin Edwin ,   Chennai, India   (11.07.06)
Christianity is the continuation of Judaism. Or in other words (Judaism + Jesus Christ) = Christianity
81. Christians support for Israel
Amanda ,   Pretoria, South Afri   (11.07.06)
hello (6) Tayfun_Turkey, Christians do support Israel. Jewish people don't kill christians if Pope or other christian leader speaks against Israel. But Muslims kill christians if anyone speaks against Islam.
82. Nefarious?!
Patricia ,   Southern CA, U.S.A.   (11.07.06)
It's way too early in the morning to have to shoulder an adjective such as "nefarious." As an American Evangelical Christian, the new "Untouchable" caste in the U.S., there's no mystery as to why I support Israel: God commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Israel is the embodiment of the world's (now defunct) conscience, and I seem to remember something about Jesus being a Jew. So much for "nefarious."

When I said everybody, I meant Everybody! It now appears to me that China has a better approach to foriegn policy.

Mohammed Choudhury ,   London   (11.07.06)
If Christianity is the continuation of Judaism then Islam is the continuation of both of them. Judaism + Christianity = Islam :) It is not too late to convert.
87. RE: #1
Jeanine ,   Birmingham, USA   (11.08.06)
I'm an evangelical, and I tell you without a doubt that I do whatever I can to support Israel UNCONDITIONALLY. They are (and will always be) G-d's chosen. As to the reason for our support, G-d's wishes in the matter seem to be quite clear: "I wil bless them that bless you, and curse them that curse you".
88. Israel and Christians
Tania ,   Detroit USA   (11.08.06)
At some point, Jews, American and or Israeli, have to realize that are NOT totally reveled and or worshipped. Christians are really Israel's worst nightmare and this will come to a head when the Jews do NOT accept the Christian Jesus aka messiah and then once again, they, the Jews, will become persecuted by christians. Religion really is a violent oragnization no matter what denomination it is. Each believe that the other is better and that their individual God's, G-d's, or Allah's is above the other. Tania
89. #1: Sybiotic Relationship
Peter Kemph ,   St LOuis, MO   (11.08.06)
Folks, we worship the SAME God. As a Christian, I fully believe that the Jews are God's chosen people; I am merely thankful that I am an "honorary" Jew by virtue of having been "grafted" in (according to Paul, formerly Saul- New Testament). To put it directly, I believe your Messiah will in fact come; I also believe that very same Messiah alredy came once and is coming again (the 2nd coming). At that point, it will trully be a non-issue for obvious reasons: He's the same person! God Bless You!
90. #86...
Peter Kemph ,   st louis,mo   (11.08.06)
Brother, consider the words of your very own Prophet. Did he not wonder himself whether or not his revelations were of God or Satan? Please pry to the Great Almighty and, from your Heart, appeal to Him for clarity and true revelation. We love you unconditionally....
