Reading from wikipedia, it becomes clear that a lot of guess work has taken place over the history of clergy trying to interpret what they deem to be truthful words from the bible. I think that the constant failure to interpret them and subsequent failures are sufficient proof that a change of vocation is required. It seems to also be an attempt by parties known to us, that use these verses to create an image of constantly being victimized so that they gain status and sympathy from people and thrive on this sympathy. This is pathetic and shows a lack of talent and foresight.

Good article. But I think this is incorrect
to identify the war(s) of the kings of the north and south in Daniel 11:40-45 (which is absolutely separate and different in time and purpose) with the war of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38,39.
