You are simply demonstrating your ignorance of proper Scriptural/Prohetic interpretation. Prophesy by nature is always a bit ambiguous. The verses you reference to are found in The Gospep of Mathew chapter 24 (and other gospels as well). They specifically make reference to a generation which experiences events which hadn't occured at the time. You must read from the beginning of Mathew 24 to grasp the proper context. When speaking of this "generation", it becomes clear that His meaning was that 'the generation" in which the preceeding events mentioned earlier in chapter 24 actually occur is the "generation" which will not pass away. Note verse 32 of Mathew 24. The "generation" which witnesses the budding (the regathering of Jews to Israel) of the fig tree (Israel). This generally is considered to be 1948. It is also important to define the time span of a "generation". In Biblical context...a "generation" has been speculated to be 32 years; 40 years; 80-90 years (Psalm 90:10); and up to 120 years (Genesis 6:3). So you can see that if one begins a "generation" from 1948....you could conceivably be looking at this generation 'not passing away' until 2068!! I know of a couple of well known pastor/evangelists who at one time mistakenly assumed that a 'generation' was 40 years, and concluded that it all ends by 1988! Simply because prophecy is not absolutely as specific as you would wish, doesn't make those who believe "idiots".

Thank You Craig for clearing that up. Most people who bash believers can never argue their point in the context of the scripture they are trying to destroy. A basic secular history book would seem ridiculous if you read everything out of context. But this is the best attack non believers have because their "arsenal" is empty in reality. Its very sad.

The Bible talks about Damascus becoming a ruinous heap. Damascus is the longest continually inhabited city in the world. It has not been fulfilled yet, but I believe it is coming very soon for the reasons you will soon see. This talks about Jacob (Israel) being made thin. I believe this accurately describes the state of Israel now. They are being worn down through the constant problems with the Muslims and indeed the rest of the world against them. It also says that their [Israel's enemies] cities will be forsaken, left because of the children of Israel. Does this mean Israel will attack Syria, forcing them to leave their cities because of the attack? Israel has already threatened to attack Damascus and it houses some of the top terrorists trying to destroy Israel. If that's the case, then Iran will come to Syria's rescue only to be destroyed in the mountains of Israel with the rest of the Gog/Magog armies. Iran and Syria have a defense agreement already in place. Is that the "hooks in the jaws" from Ezekiel 38,39? That's what the last part of the passage would seem to say. Nations rush like many waters, God rebukes them, and they are blown as the chaff of the mountains before the wind. The mountains are the place where Ezekiel 38,39 says God wipes out the Gog/Magog armies. Acts 17:11

All ppl would like to know when the end will come and how it will be.....what 4?They want to know what to expect and hope not get caught unprepared for what it is expected to be the most important event humanity has ever seen.Most of them pray for the end to come sooner without knowing what to expect after that. Bible says that there are lots that are called for but there are few those who are actually chosen. Christians say that the nonbelievers will perish and their soul will go to hell. I came onto this site by some weird coincidence and I hope my post will not offend nobody, but I don't understand how could Gd take such drastic measures against the ppl that He created sending them to hell. His other work, "The AntiChrist and a Cup of Tea" has already been published. On pages 394 to 396 of that work, Tim Cohen presents a sequential and detailed list of events not yet fulfilled, but which will soon take place, and these all PRECEDE the coming invasion from Gog and MaGog. Before that invasion, Israel will be attacked, Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies and divided, with half the city going into captivity, etc. There is very much more I could say, but you should ALL read Cohen's books; he understands much more than Israel's rabbis today.

The trouble with those who believe in 'end times' is they take someone's else's word for everything they believe. History reveals that people have been convinced that they were in 'end times' many times throughout the centuries. As long as we educate children to believe they are special, this will continue. What we really need to do is examine the reasons for everything we believe and understand we are the product of our culture. It is sad to see so much hate, even on forums such as this one. Hate is such a destructive emotion, which only brings unhappiness to the one who hates.

Have you ever heard of a self fulfilling prophesy? Some Christians are praying and manipulating events for this to happen, aren't they?

It would be impossible to initiate a pre-emptive strike. (1) The attack will come suddenly and without warning. (2) This is God's battle "when I will be sanctified" in the eyes of all Israel. He brings this battle to bring his people back to Himself. One cannot prevent what is written, one cannot prevent a judgment of Almighty God. I believe it's very possible to believe that today Putin of Russia who is friendly with Iran could develop sucg a plan against Israel. Currently Iran is often in the news due to it's nuclear program. Kosovos current new Independence has angered the Serbs who are friends with Russia and Putin has already spoken about the right of self determination being an issue that should not be only dictated by countries like the US or Europe.
