I just want to take issue with your assertion that there is Islam-bashing in the US and that America is a land of exclusion. After what happened on 9-11 and with all the hatred coming out of Islamic countries and even from US Muslims, American criticism of Islam's violence has been moderate. If anything, Muslims have had it easier than any other previous immigrant group. The country is now going out of its way trying to accommodate multicultural customs and beliefs. And let's not forget that right after 9-11, the President kept repeating that Islam is a religion of peace. The US isn't perfect, it has a lot of dark chapters in its history, and contrary to common belief, it hasn't been kind to Jews. But of all the countries in the world, the US is one of the most welcoming to immigrants and those of non-Christian religions.
