Orao. ,   Srbia.   (03.25.11)
Terror in J'lem? 'Palestinian strike,' Reuters says Reuters shies away from characterizing Jerusalem bombing as terror attack, referring to it as ‘Palestinian strike.’ Responding to Ynet inquiry, news agency says ‘it is not up to Reuters to say who carried out attack’ THE US IS BECOMMING MORE AND MORE WEIRD. AN OBAMA ILLNESS AND DISEASE ?.. Orao.Srbia.
62. neither from WB, nor from Gaza, from where else?
observer ,   Egypt   (03.25.11)
That 1-2 kilos explosive could not have bypassed 400+ roadblocks in the West Bank, nor could it have been smuggled across Gaza's border. Not anymore neutralized, Egypt wont allow a all out war on Gaza.
63. They are right we don't know...
useful idiots ,   dummies   (03.25.11)
bombs are always just laying around at bus stations, I mean who knows it could have been anyone's bomb. Let's not jump to any irrational conclusions like Palestinian terrorist.
64. Both got it wrong!
J ,   ISR   (03.25.11)
in the past, pal groups were never shy to claim responsibility for terror attacks they carried out. as no one has claimed this and the security agencies are still investigating, it is inappropriate to call this a 'terror attack' or 'palestinian strike'. this may have very well been carried out by a palestinian person acting solo in which it wouldn't even qualify as a 'palestinian strike'
65. last week they called the IDF-IOF
uri ,   israel   (03.25.11)
last week they called the IDF-IOF (israeli offense forces). just to remind you they also cut out the knifes from the Marmara pics.
66. Reuters are cowards.
PS ,   US   (03.25.11)
They lost all credibility.
67. The fools.Only Israel is responsible
jo   (03.25.11)
for allowing the scum of reportage to operate in the country. Most everything the media reports on Israel stinks. BBC, CNN, Reuters, Al- jazeera, are some of the masters of deceit,.Being an expert in fabrication, doctoring photos, lies, disliking jews, will get you a job anytime with these ' raconteurs '.Yes Israel, you are the main culprit for allowing this travesty of "freedom of the press" to permeate here for many years, and poison the country.
68. In Israel
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (03.25.11)
In any country of the world, when a citizen is killed, it's a murder - In Israel it's an anti-Semetic murder. In any country of the world, when there is a bombing attack, there are investigations held before saying anything about who did this and why. In Israel, it's a terrorist attack and it was meant to kill Jews and only Jews... and of course it was carried by Arabs when not Palestinans. In any normal country of the world, citizens are considered, first and foremost, as citizens of the same country. In Israel, if it's not about Jews, then it's irrelevant...
69. Reuters and the terrorist attack
Joe Charlaff ,   Mevasseret Zion   (03.25.11)
Reuters dont get the point. Regardless of whoever perpetrated the attack - the fact remains it was a TERRORIST ATTACK. Call a spade a spade. If Hamas carried out an attack it wouldnt be called a Hamas attack - its an act of terror, and therefore a terrorist attack,
70. Bunnies did it... Green bunnies, from outer space.
Scott ,   USA   (03.25.11)
71. CNN
leo ,   nyc   (03.25.11)
Separate from this incident, try watching Anderson Cooper every night about the fighting in Libya. His bias in favor of the "rebels" is so blatant that CNN might as well be the "Rebel" network. Never once does he indicate that there are radical forces that are likely to take over if Gaddafi falls. Of course, just before this, he was in Tokyo, making it sound as if Hiroshima was just around the corner--It's a shame he doesn't just stay in the West Village of NYC with his boyfriend...
72. terrorists not Palestinians
Shoshana ,   Israel   (03.25.11)
really you are out of your mind. imagine someone coming to a civilian bus station in the middle of the town where you live. put a bomb near the bus station where young &old people are waiting. usually people who cant efford have private cars, the terrotist runs away, the bomb explodes & many people get injured & killed. Would you then give the same comment? If it concerns your people & not Jews in Jerusalem would you react the same?
73. A great first step
Neil Turner ,   Watford, UK   (03.25.11)
THis is the first time that I have seen the Israeli media make "the media" the story This is an excellent first step The Western media are notorious for blaming Israel an ignoring Palestinian terror. The more you shine the light on their misreporting, the better I strongly believe that it is time you Israelis starting defending yourselves in the media war with the same professionalism that you use in the IDF You need to specifically target the BBC for example. Whenever your officials are interviewed by them, you ought to raise their bias in the interview, with specific examples to hand They don't play by the rules, neither should you You have my full support and well done :)
74. to Ynet & talkbackers:
G. Frankl ,   Hungary   (03.25.11)
What else do you expect, they are British (English). Rest my case.
75. REUTERS
mitch ,   bet shemesh   (03.25.11)
It's not a "strike", it's premeditated murder
76. until a jew uses a bomb to kill innocent arabs
m ,   haifa   (03.25.11)
innocent children, until a jew starts massacring Palestinian families in their sleep including 3 innocent babies, until a jew stops respecting life, until a jew starts using thei own children as a human shield because they are such cowards and cannot stand up and fight like men - untill all of the above happens - yes. it is an palestinian attack because it is the muslim palestinians who do not respect life and celebrate when inccocent people are murdered. celebrate|!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU SAY IT ISNT THE PALESTINIANS WHO ARE BEHIND THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when you are afraid to go out and play with your child in a playgroud - we will talk about your rights
77. Reuters correct
Robert   (03.25.11)
and they were right- not even Israel's security forces called it a Palestinian attack- until you guys are sure- don't just go off half-cocked and throwing bombs at everybody. Typical emotional over reaction.
78. Reuters is professional
Laura   (03.25.11)
unlike some TBs here, Reuters is professional. So far, not even the Israelis have confirmed who done it. Could be Hamas, could be Islamic Jihad, could also be Hizbollah or some demented local citizen. So, unlike someone admits to having done it, or there is real proof, news media is wise not to point fingers.
79. To #33
Abba ,   Modi'in, Israel   (03.25.11)
You made the assertion and therefore you have the burden of proof. In case you don't read the news, there were two arrests by the PA of Islamic Jihadists in Jenin who were connected with the bombing. Settlers don't live in Jenin, but you needn't let facts get in the way of your drivel.
80. Islam - Religion of Peace.......mmmm
Julian ,   Warsaw, Poland   (03.25.11)
81. Reuters and BBC are among the most
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.25.11)
vicious leftist supporters of Muslim terrorism...these people are on the same page with the terrorists themselves...
82. definition of terrorism
handala ,   Jerusalem/Palestine   (03.25.11)
terrorism is the act of violence committed by a group of people against a nation. Palestinians are not a group of people, Palestinians are a nation of 14 million people, 8 million around the world and 6 million in Palestine. it is right to call it a strike. even though it is not clear yet who is behind the explosion, there is no proof Palestinians did it!! remember when you point a finger at someone there are 3 fingers pointing at you!!
83. Distorted language
Jerry ,   Yorkshire UK   (03.25.11)
Terrorist refers to civilians who make violent attacks on other civilians for political purposes. Reuters might reasonably have left out the word Palestinian if they did not know the details, but by definition this is a terrorist attack and not a "strike".
84. Reuters are becoming tabloid
Jerry ,   Yorkshire UK   (03.25.11)
the uk tabloid press frequently publish made up and/or controversial articles just to sell their papers. The distinction between information, entertainment and fiction are becoming more blurred in the fight for eyeballs...
85. #3 BS, is it now?
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (03.25.11)
So who dunnit, Persian CAT? Was it Mossad? Lone operatives copying Palestinian terror cell tactics to pin the blame on, well, the same people who codified and systematized bus bombings, club bombings, suicide bombings of all stripes and shapes and colors, children with bombs included? If "BS" means that we ignore the relevant facts if an Israeli is the one spelling them out, then we have a problem here. And that problem itself is the BS.
86. I Thought the Jewish people controlled
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.25.11)
All the Media in the world? Whoops, I guess not? Look, Reuters is the same "news" group...I use the term loosely...that was caught posting fake, and photo shopped pictures and video's in their news stories, during the Lebanon War. Go to the Aish.com website, and type in "photo fraud Lebanon" in the search bar and watch the video. These guys are anything but neutral. They just take whatever the Arabs say at face value, while at the same time, question Israeli sources that have NEVER been caught lying. As we see here, they won't even use the term "terrorism" for an act of terrorism. Why is that? Two reasons:1) they are simply bias reporters and 2) They are intimidated that they will be thrown out of the region for printing negative stories. This was started under Arafat, a form of blackmail of the western media is always in play. There are countless examples. The media willingly go along with the blackmail, afraid to lose access to a news rich region.
87. #52 No, it doesn't. And you're no paragon of impartiality.
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (03.25.11)
When you place a bomb at a bus stop, wait for civilians to gather, then blow it up, it's terrorism. When you have a long history of doing the same, it's terrorism. The justifications behind it are meaningless - it has no justifiable military or "resistance" factor behind it when you target civilians and civilians alone. Attempting to use neutral phrasing and roundabout talk on a clear-cut matter is an indication of bias in and by itself - a kind of bias that Reuters applies selectively, I should add. Like cropping photos that show people with knives, or reporting on war-crimes with only hearsay evidence from one source. But hey, we're all lick-spittles of our evil government here, right?
88. #68 Yes? Are you sure about that?
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (03.25.11)
In Israel, when someone launches a rocket at a crime boss's house, they call it a crime and investigate it as such. When there are shootouts in high-crime neighborhoods, or honor killings, they are called crimes and investigated as such. When there are car accidents, tax evasions, bribes, rapes, and so on... these are all treated as *crimes*, investigated as such, regardless of the perpetrator's ethnicity or religion. But when bombs, bullets, or knives target a very specific segment of our population directly, we also call it as it is - terror attacks against Israeli Jewish civilian populace. I call BS, sir. You're talking nonsense.
89. Google translate
(03.25.11)
If you use Google translate, then the first translation for PEGOA is attack (and the second option is terrorist attack). I can guess that this is what they did. And all the other parts in the story are just their lack of professionalism.
90. #3; P-CAT, and baseless remarks
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.25.11)
I always get a good laugh from your baseless remarks, I did post a video but it may not get through. If you go to "aish.com" type in "photo fraud lebanon" a video pops up showing the blatant photo fraud "Reuters" and other took part in. In addition those news agencies...again I use the term loosely...admitted to the "mistakes". Can you provide any evidence where Israel ever took part in such blatant news manipulation (lying), I think not. Yes the world is "NOT BUYING BS", but they now understand it's Arab BS, whoops!!! So as we say, CASE CLOSED
