61. Re #37 - Correct!
John ,   Alaska   (05.23.11)
The boundaries of this mandate or that declaration are only man-made, and have no authority beyond what people want them to have at a given time. The boundaries that HaShem provided carry the authority of the Sovereign of the universe and are as applicable today as when they were revealed in Scripture, because Scripture and the Author thereof do not change.
62. #47 - Israelis didn't run during Lebanese war
William ,   Israel   (05.23.11)
but Hizbullah predicted they would. Arabs have always predicted Israelis would run at the first sight of war and infact planes full of Israelis from all over the world (except you in Dusseldorf) arrived in Israel with Israelis ready to fight. Even the newly arriving immigrants joined the fight and were the most fierce. Conversely, the Arabs ran away at the first sight of impending doom, most without ever seeing a soldier to begin with. Zahar's statement just disproves your own - there is no "reconciliation with Palestinians" possible nor any measure that would appease them.
63. Al-Zahar-Love or Hate-Have To Admit He's One Handsome Guy
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (05.23.11)
64. We can be sure you are against Israel.
noa ,   israel   (05.23.11)
We can be sure that you will bash anyone who is for Israel. So what? Does that make you right? What makes you so different from all the anti-semites in the past?
65. Pathetic beggars
A ,   Belgium   (05.23.11)
Senior Islamic Jihad member Azzam Nafez says "We do not especially care about the American position. Maybe you'll care about it more when you and the rest of your so-called "unity government" are begging for $$ handouts from the US, as you always are.
66. 22%?
Daniel ,   TA and DC   (05.23.11)
Come on add all of Jordan into the equation and it's well more than 22%. T
67. To: No. 27
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.23.11)
What's your point? How many Jewish states are there where the Hebrew language is spoken? That's right. One and one. Your comment, therefore, is really rather gratuitous but in your zeal to correct the post at No. 1, you managed to underscore the entire issue. Inadvertently, of course, but we'll take it; thanks.
68. Hamas is the only party i know of that is true to their word
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.23.11)
Don't get me wrong, I think they are evil terrorists but at least they aren't two faced liars like most other politicians around the world. I can see why their people support them.
69. Attack, lose the war, & loser dictates terms????
Steven Gilbert ,   Teaneck   (05.23.11)
You gotta be kidding! BTW, what an ugly kisser!!!
70. Hamas falls into its own rhetoric ... hahaha
Joe   (05.23.11)
Hamas, like all the megalomanic terror organizations, is telling the People that it's bigger then life !! And now falls for its own trap. They're cowards, the size of a flea, hiding behind civilians... and they think they have leverage... hahaha
71. Historical Palestine????
Avi ,   TA, Israel   (05.23.11)
Why does no ever discuss the fact that there has never been a historical sovereign place known as Palestine. And why can no one understand that when there is war land is taken or lost. Israel won, Why does it get punished for winning, when facing hostile nations. Live here in peace or leave. I would be happy to compensate some to leave over time.
72. It is now obvious Hamas is more corrupt and
Oren ,   Bat Yam   (05.23.11)
less intelligent than PA people. Unfortunately, Sharon complicated matters significantly by withdrawing the way he did.
73. Did al-zahar had a bit part in the walley oh the apes?
jose   (05.23.11)
The only outrage I am able to discern is that al zahar, abbas, haniyeh are still able to breathe. Ilan ,Ariel # 8. you are correct on Japan and Germany; unfortunately, our not so glorious leaders keep getting 'dictates' from the wainquished hordes, and we, like idiots listen. I fail to understand why those who call themselves our leaders should bother to listen or reply to any and all islamic absurdities.
74. Send a Message from F15s,F16s,Phantom 2,000s
Noah Lev ,   HollywoodUSA   (05.23.11)
Look everyone, what matters is not what Hamas says, but their deeds. Obama is still playing it straight down the middle, satisfying the Israelis while allowing the creation of a Pales state, with definite borders..close to 67, some adjustments and perhaps some Arab area in E.Jerusaleml to the Pales. No matter, what occurs, Hamas leader says it to the point. Israel back to the lines in 48., prior to the war (s). How many legions of soldeirs does the Pope have? Bibi smartly rectified his mistake last week end by wearing his arguments in public. Now, if 1m more Jews move to Israel..that would be something. We need to put some bit in our bark. First: capital punishment for terrorists (start with Barghouti, then those 2 teens). Levy the payments to those arrested. Station more troops in areas to be placed under tighter control ( after the UN debacle).Hit Hamas much harder...after each provocation. I would also take out there leaders ( like the navy seals did). No prisoners. Irran/Turkey intervene as threatended..call up the reserves, and use 500 F15s,F16s,Phantom 2,000 and Apaches. Turkey gets embolden and attacks Israeli assets, well, hows about a few colbalt/lithium bombs?
75. Sarah: Okay Jordan, But Lets Be Practical
Noah Lev ,   hollywoodUSa   (05.23.11)
To Sarah: I somewhat disagree with you, Transferring Palestinians out of the Strip, Jerusalem, and W. Bk will be difficult if not impossible. Rather, the Allon Plan (autonomy for Arab areas, modified). Land swaps will be refused anyway by Abbas. Adjust the borders..and extend the fence, with land mines adjacent. The Floiaillas must be decapitated (engines). Turkey/Iran intervene, bomb their Rev Guards, Turkish military and if needed Tehran/Istanbul.They have navies..sink them wtihin minutes..using 1mega ton bombs. Any Arab who doesnt like it, can move to Jordan, the real 78% of the Mandate (Trans-Jordan)
76. 32-Well, there it is.
Ypip ,   Canada   (05.23.11)
77. To: No. 47
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.23.11)
No, my ersatz "Palestinian" dupe. Time is decidedly on the side of he who has the nukes. That would be Israel. Besides -- look at the ersatz "Palestinians." A bunch of unrepentant terrorists; quarrelsome, belligerent and violent. In sixty-three years, you have accomplished nothing. Israel created beautiful infrastructures for you both in areas controlled by the "Palestine" Authority and in Gaza. You turned it all to dust, and now you have pretensions of creating a viable state. You are incapable of creating anything viable, least of all a credibly functioning nation. Finally -- you need not worry about Israel's ability to handle threats. You have started six wars and lost all six. You have visited vile acts of terror upon the Jewish people, both in Israel and in the Diaspora. What do you have to show for it? Do you think anything has changed? It hasn't, except that the ersatz "Palestinians" have grown increasingly fragmented and Israel has grown stronger with each passing day. Time is decidedly not on your side.
78. 1948 lines
IKE ,   CHICAGO USA   (05.23.11)
Why does Hamas want to stop at the 1948 lines? Why not go back to the British Mandate Jewish Homeland map of April 1922?
79. DISCUSS WITH WHOM?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.23.11)
If A-Zahar wants to discus 1948 borders,he'd better go and discuss them with the King of Jordan. Looks like Hamas isn't a danger to only the State of Israel. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
80. How about to discuss about san remo mandate in 1920?
Stivan   (05.23.11)
81. to nr. 67.
justice for all ,   world/planet earth   (05.23.11)
what"s my point? did you read my talkback well? it doesnot deal about the "number" of jewish states. it deals with the incorrect number of arabic states given in tackback 1. that is why i reacted. if nr.1 gave the correct number of arabic states i would not have reacted. everybody can react to incorrect information, so it was very necessary that i or somebody else would have reacted. i understand the entire issue very well, is it because i insulted/offended you that you reacted to my tackback? i did not phantasize the information i gave. hope that you understand my point now and that iam clear to you. i hope that you can use this information. thanks for your really niece reaction to my talkback and i wish you much success.
82. Mahmoud al-Zahar & Helen Thomas
GZLives   (05.23.11)
A couple made in Heaven
83. Palestine is so highly regarded
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (05.23.11)
That's it's not mentioned even once in the Koran, nor is Jerusalem
84. The '48 border sounds just fine
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.23.11)
The border in 1948 was the same as 1967 and is the same in 2011. The EAST BANK of the JORDAN RIVER is the legal border. So we can agree to that. Expel the illegal squatters stealing our lands.
85. #62 you are right
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.24.11)
The reason is simple. The Jews were fighting for their homeland. The Arabs were recent immigrants. At the first sign of fighting they wanted to go back home.
86. Hamas: Let's discuss 1948 lines
Aaron Z. Snyder ,   Chestnut Hill MA USA   (05.24.11)
Rather than discuss a "done deal", such as the 1948 lines, Mahmoud al-Zahar should discuss who attacked whom in 1967 and 1973, and who won, and who lost. Sorry, Mahmoud: you can't unring a bell!
87. to Nour 17
john Darren ,   cairns-Australia   (05.24.11)
Oh, shut up and move to Jordan-you and Silly Salma are becoming boring.
88. To: No. 81
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.11)
You did not insult or offend me; I'd have to actually respect your intellect for that to happen and, quite frankly, your "intellect" is severely lacking when it comes to geopolitical, historical and legal considerations in the Middle East. That said, what you did was inadvertently play into my hands. There are more than enough Arab and Islamic states -- who needs one more dysfunctional and primitive society in this world? Who needs one more terrorist-driven state that cannot govern itself?
89. To: Noah at No. 75
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.11)
Difficult? Perhaps? Necessary? Absolutely. Think of the magnitude of the population transfers that occurred following the end of World War II (principally in Europe, but elsewhere, too), and the repatriation of Jordanian citizens to Jordan and Egyptian citizens to Egypt is not all that daunting. The Arabs have gone to war six times, unsuccessfully. They have to bear the consequences of their violence. The ersatz "Palestinians" have waged an unrelenting seven-decade war of terrorism against Jews in Israel and in the Diaspora. They have to bear the consequences of their violence, too. What sort of message will be sent if Israel rewards the ersatz "Palestinians" by making yet additional concessions? It is time for the ersatz "Palestinians" to take responsibility for their reprehensible acts, and to understand that those acts have consequences which they may find unpleasant. Too bad. Israel did not find six wars and seven decades of combatting terror to be particularly pleasant. The ersatz "Palestinians" must bear their share of the burden.
90. Israel and Palestine
Bob ,   nashville, usa   (05.24.11)
let's get real it's never been about land, borders. They want all Jews dead. They preach it to their children
