I posted the same thing of the website of the biggest supermarket chain in Israel. The answer I received was that the Ministry of Trade and Industry has instructed importers and supermarkets NOT to boycott Turkey! If this is how our people are going to be treated by the Turks we must stop all contact with the Islamic Fundamentalist country that Turkey has become! It should be obvious to anyone that Turkey is trying to delegitimize Israel and so become the main power in the Middle East. After this incident Israeli air space should be closed to Turkish Airlines just as Turkish Air space is closed to Israeli airlines even for overfly!.

Not withstanding YEARS of holidaying in Turkey we have cancelled our holiday there in November (despite the losses incurred) And I urge others Israelis, Jews and Non Jews to do the same lest they are treated in the same shameful and shabby way We simply dont want to have this sort of treatment at the very start of our holiday - Treated like some sort of pathetic bargaining chip by the Turkish Authorities just because they cant resolve this issue together with Israel diplomatically. We cant be bothered to go to a destination where we are now not welcome (this after DECADES of great holidays there) and there is every likelihood of harrasment or worse at the Airport So weve changed our destination to Cyprus and I doubt we will ever return back to Turkey

Not I, Bob! I absolutely agree with you though. I meticulously check any product I buy for Turkish origins, and buy another alternative, even if more expensive. I also succeeded in stripping all Turkish products from the catering firm I work for, again although the italian alternatives are slightly more pricey. As you say, it is a matter of self-respect.

I juste want Isralie realize that what is happened in Turkey is exactly the treatment inflict to tourists arriving at BG airport. Of course, it should not happend ! I have relative in Israel. Last time I came in Israel with a friend, they separate us for "security reasons" upon the arrival... I had no news, while 2 houres of what's append to my friend, even if I asked the security controls... And I do speak hebrew... ! After that, my friend (swiss citizen) was nervous, almost crying due the wasted time and the 36 times repeated questions in a very rude way! After that, she did not felt really welcome in Israel... If you want increase the number of tourists that spend money in Israel, you should think about that !
