33. Don't get to worked up
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.13.11)
This man has no free will, he is so irrational God is obviously dragging him down the road to destruction, like every other pathetic Jew-hater before him, and Jews may have the blessing soon of being handed a rat to squash. The Ottoman Empire hold- out is besides himself with fury at Israel for daring to defend itself and be victorious.
34. No -the tanach said over 2500 yrs ago-
Galutia ,   selah   (09.13.11)
that Turkey would be among those that would put themselves at risk coming against a land and people brought back from amoung the nations...Ezekiel ch 37 - 39 SAD - but so many think the bible is a story book full of errors ...but the old prophets of G-d appear to be right on the money...ignore them at your own risk....
35. And God willing.....
PS   (09.13.11)
All the lands Turkey stole shall be taken back. PKK should be taken off the terrorist list and supported..It's only a matter of time before islamic Turkey leaves NATO...Were are the Balkan countries in all this? Why is Russia throwing the balkan countries under the bus in support of islamic Turkey?? Why is NATO silent when this nut running Turkey?
36. Erdogan heading for a fall
norbus ,   jerusalem   (09.13.11)
The man is messianic, and thinks he could walk on water. Prophet's disease usually ends up in tears. He might have incarcerated the top generals, but second tier colonels usually hold the real power. They will not Let Kamal Attaturk down.
37. Erdo in Cairo

an existential threat that demands an eventual response.
39. scarey similarities
Mahlon Drumgoole ,   Newark NJ USA   (09.13.11)
I have often seen films of one of Hitler's speeches declaring that if international Jewry starts another world war, it will mean the extermination of European Jews. Now, we have a megalomaniac Islamist basically threatening the same thing for Israel. What is most frightening is the lack of reaction to his horrible and obscene threat by leaders of NATO countries. Also, like during Hitler's time, people refuse to take Erdogan's threats seriously. Despite the horrors going on in nazi Germany, the 1936 olympics were held in Berlin and no real efforts were made to ostracize Hitler for his crazy and racist behavior. Now Erdogan is threatening the existence of Israel and nothing is being done. What Erdogamn doesn't understand is that during the nazi era, the Jews had no weapons or armies to fight back. If the Islamists, including Iran, Turkey. and Egypt attempt to destroy Israel, mushroom clouds will be seen over Turkish citiesw, the Aswan dam, and Iranian cities and oil wells.

42. Who is calling who aggressive ?

The guy is throwing so many verbal stones - it is starting to sound like an old comedy skit.
43. Erdogan In nEgypt
Len Rome ,   Deland, Florida USA   (09.13.11)
Erdogan's onjective is replacing Iran/Saudia Arabia as the primaRY force in the middle east. His threats and warnings resonate well with the arabs. Israel is essentially superior to Turkey militarily. Therefore Turkey may bully and threaten but may not attempt military action since Israel must respond with superior quite damaging force.
44. Blame the victims
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.13.11)
So speaks a true fascist. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
45. Arabs seem to have very short memories!
David ,   Israel   (09.13.11)
They have forgotten that the Turks massacred them in 1916! Now, the new Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the man who want to re-establish the Ottoman Empire and use Israeli blood and Arab gullibility to do this!
46. Erdogan is lecturing on democracy?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.13.11)
I cannot help but wonder if any of the evil Arab supremacist League tyrants were interested in Erdogan's lecture on freedom, democracy and human rights. Did they CLAP?The report doesn't say. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
47. Erdogan
Ken ,   Australia   (09.13.11)
When you aplogize to the 1,000,000 armenians , we might applologize to you, other than that, you are the biggest hypocrit on the face of the earth, you have de-legitimized your-self, to a amadinajad status , which is as low as you can go. You are not the statesman you say you are, this is evident in your egypt speeches. Where exactly are you takeing the turkish people with your stupidity and clown act.
48. A request for help
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.13.11)
I'd like to express my opinion concerning Erdogan, his government and his warmongering in the Turkish media. Can anybody suggest a Turkish English language site that allows freedom of expression? Perhaps one of the Turkish contributors who make use of THIS comment site could help me out. I presume that there is such a site. There is,isn't there? THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
49. Erdogan
solomon ,   bklyn   (09.13.11)
1. <...Palestine must be recognized, it is not an option – it's an obligation.> It seems everyone has obligations...except the "Pals". 2. The usual case of someone [Erdogan] accusing someone else [Israel] of what he himself is doing (agressive politics, etc). Always best to accuse the other party before they accuse you.
50. Marmara was part of Islamist (Turkish) war against Israel.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.13.11)
51. Islamists boarded Turkey, on course to sink her.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.13.11)
52. intelligent
eric ,   russia   (09.13.11)
Erdogan and his FM acts very brilliantly. He always put the issue on the desk and sought for support from many sides. Again brilliant move, he is now in Egypt and pursuing his determinatedness on the region. What Israeli politicians did? Nothing. Even they did not go to Europe. US did not say anything. From realistic point of view, in the future Israel will at least think twice on Turkey-related issues. And Europe also is starting to consider Turkey as an important country for its and world's security. A quiet baby gets no suck.
53. #52eric Another way t look at it.
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.13.11)
Eric maintains"Europe also is starting to consider Turkey as an important country for its and world's security". The corollary to this is that Turkey under its present regime is a threat to Europe's and the world's security. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
54. Answer for Islam: coups, secularization, democratization?
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (09.13.11)
55. Recognition of a Kurd state is not an option but an obligati
FJS ,   Spain   (09.13.11)
Mr Erdogan, the recognition of a Kurd state is not an option but an obligation. Don't mess with other people's businesses.
56. Erdogan is spelled 'Arrdogant'!
Jouko ,   Kuopio,Finland   (09.13.11)
I can't help understanding how the Turkish people are so blind as to choose such leaders as Arrdogant, Gul and Devastobull.... What is the intellectual level of Turkish people? Don't they even demand that their leaders are honest?
57. THE PALS AS DISTRACTION
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.13.11)
Remember we are in the middle of a PR push for the Pals. As Abbas stated last week they were going full force on their PR push for the illegal bid at the UN for statehood. So we are seeing a strong vilification campaign against Israel. Also the distraction from the 10 year anniversary of the biggest terrorism against the USA 9/11. So the Arab and Muslim countries are presenting a unified front. Turkey is helping because the Palmer Report really proved that everything they said was wrong or a lie.
58. avil magnezi and reuters- "erdogan: "israel".."
sjoerd ruurd van der ,   mankindnation/land..   (09.13.11)
the turkish government also should leave the territories, which are still occupied by the turkish army, an apology/compensation etc. to the kurdish, armenian etc. people, before eventually they condemn, judge (an) other people(s). still better is to leave that to the united nations organization etc. that is/will be the case of/for every people.
59. THE BLEAK FUTURE OF ERDOGAN !!
Mark ,   T.a. Israel   (09.13.11)
According competent sources his FALL is IMMINENT !!
60. Erdogan following in Ahmadinejad's footsteps
Cynthia ,   USA   (09.13.11)
As soon as Ahmadinejad took office in 2005, he began his verbal threats against Israel. While diverting attention, he proceeded to strip rights away from the people. He attacked and imprisoned his opposition to cling to power. Erdogan states, "Those who use force to silence the people will realize they are making a big mistake." While Ahmadinejad was beating and torturing his opposition, Erdogan was rolling out the red carpet to Ahmadinejad and ignoring the force used to silence the people. He did the same in Syria. His treatment of Armenians and Kurds represent more examples of Erdogan's hypocrisy. I pity the Turkish people.
