1. Making Israel a one-party issue is dangerous because...
Abe Froman ,   New York   (10.25.11)
...That party is going to lose sometimes. Better to be friends with everyone.
2. translation please?
mike ,   ta   (10.25.11)
here it is - the historically left-leaning liberal Democrat Jewish establishment in the US is nervous that all their time, energy, and money is being wasted on Obama because FINALLY a significant number of Jewish voters is going to vote that bum out of office in 2012... they realize that the 'peace process' is a farce and that Israel's security should not be threatened to appease the arab and muslim world...or their anti-semite friends in europe...
3. Avert your eyes. Clasp a hand...
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (10.25.11)
...over your mouth. Walk away. Walk away. Pull your hat brim down; turn up your collar and make believe there is someone else other than the present arrogant, ignorant and manifestly incompetent, hostile Captain at the helm of ship State called America. After all his grazing herd of Unicorns will excrete multi colored candies for all of the good boys and girls who make believe he is an able chief executive and not a destructive fool. Those who would be silenet enablers are complicit in the crime.
4. That guy did his VERY BEST to throw Israel under a bus!!!!
Alan ,   SA   (10.25.11)
Only Congress and Senate stopped him
5. Unbelievable!
Steve ,   USA   (10.25.11)
I don't know what to say to this? Talk about appeasing! Appeasing the left wing that is. If you are an American Jew like I am, you are a real nut job if you still support the Dems after this ridicules move. These so called 'main stream' Jewish groups want Obama elected no matter what. Might as well walk off a cliff. Same thing. Stop being sheep, support a stronger US and a very strong ally in Israel by voting a Republican into office (except Ron Paul ). How about denouncing the far left of your party (Dems) instead of wasting your energy on this latest crap.
6. End all support for ADL, AJC and all similar groups.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.25.11)
The ADL and AJC are well known recently for slamming some of Israel's best friends; such as Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee. That is despicable in itself. However, now the ADL and AJC are taking the intolerable step of trying to silence Jewish criticism of the most hostile (and likely most incompetent) U.S. President Israel has ever faced. End all support for the ADL, AJC and similar groups. Their conduct and values are disgusting and insupportable.
7. MESSRS .FOXMAN AND HARRIS
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.25.11)
Mr .Foxman and Mr .Harris are frightened that were they to criticise President Obama and his approach towards Israel ,this would cause them to be accused of having " Dual Loyalties " and that is anathema for them .
8. Critizing Obummer...why not.
Wise Saba ,   Ma'agalim   (10.25.11)
I guess the truth hurts those liberal dummycrats.
9. why\? obama is turning it into an issue. he is naive worse f
ralph   (10.25.11)
for the world than jimmy the peanut farmer carter. naive, foolish, maybe a smart man but stupid in the ways of the world.
10. US a free country
aaron   (10.25.11)
jewish americans can express themselves freely for and against obama or anyone else and do not need to act like dzimmis as landau aptly points out.abe foxman and david harris can kiss my ass, the dzimmis that they are so fearful. Obama is independent, and is not a coward like carter, olmert or romney. But while he is a practising christian, he was raised with moslems and moslem counry indonesia and his heart is with the arabs. And it is so in an unquestionned way. So he bends down and bows before the corrupt leader of saudi arabia(while they whore about europe). He defers to islamist erdogan of Turkey and refuses to challenge him. He avoids israel like the plague. And he adopted the false narrative of khalidi which rationalized looked like the israelis stole arab land where jewish history and arab coloniolism are gone without a trace. jewish citizens can say whatever the hell they want to say. Just like lieberman can call abbas a corrupt, weak leader, the soft face of arafat. And abbas' followers can demand apologies all day long. They can go to hell. They will never get one. And if they harm leiberman, their blood will be on their heads. if anyone in the israeli government suggests that bibi should apologize to abbas for leiberman's comments, they should be booted right out of government. I predict that if anyone will offer concessions, it wil dan merridor or ehud barak. peres has already offered his apologies.
11. ... or maybe ...
jm ,   la   (10.25.11)
or maybe they just don't want to enhance the chances of one of the morons in the republican field of candidates actually getting elected and bring this country even closer to the third-world status it's been courting recently ...
12. These organizations are making a mistake...
seadog1946 ,   ErieBasin, NYC   (10.25.11)
instead of cowering they should speak up loudly and clearly about how shabbily this democratic administration has treaded Israel... there needs to be a political debate in the US on how the next administration will undo all the specific instances of damage incurred by the USA's Greatest ally.
13. Shame on ADL, AJC & any Jew who supports Obama!
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (10.25.11)
14. Foxman & Harris have no right nor authority
HADASSAH ,   USA   (10.25.11)
to pledge the speech and behavior of other groups/organizations by attempting to stifle them without any discussion and prior permission. How dare they try to silence our right to freedom of speech and to criticize the government declared in the First Amendment in our Bill of Rights in US Constitution. It is long past time for Foxman to be replaced at ADL. I am aghast, appalled & disgusted with those two idiots!!!!
15. OBAMA AND JEWISH GROUPS
(10.25.11)
Take into account that if Obama wins another term as President this will be his last term, as according to american law only two terms are allowed. In view of this he will have his hands untied to bring forth his vehemence agains Israel with no holding back. This will be at a time when nuclear armed may well be a reality and as we can now see unfolding the arab spring will have turned into a fundamentalist nightmare.
16. Obama must be stopped at all costs
Larry ,   Raanana   (10.25.11)
His actions proved that he is THE worst possible president.
17. #3, Thanks for your poetry Gideon !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (10.25.11)
18. Silence?
Emanuel ,   USA, CA   (10.25.11)
Chicago style? in contrary we have to increase our criticism against the most anti israeli presidenent
19. Any Jew Who Votes For Obama Is Nuts.
Dan ,   USA   (10.25.11)
....and most are as they will give their money and support to this Muslim who hates Jews. Very sad.
20. Foxman and Harris
Martin Gray ,   United States   (10.25.11)
It makes one want to tear their hair out. What a pair of bozos.
21. the US Jews always have & always will love Obama
zionist forever   (10.25.11)
The liberals, the blacks & hispanics, the women, they can all desert Obama and every American in the country could be out of work thanks to his policies but the Jews will always vote for him. Even when he was openly going out of his way to harm Israel the Jews stood by him unconditionally like true Obama patriots.
22. Follow the Money!
Mister Money ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.25.11)
End support for ADL, AJC? Do you have any idea how much MONEY those "leaders" at the top get paid every year??? And it's all from YOUR DONATIONS!
23. political wedge issue
yosef ,   memphis   (10.25.11)
I used to think Mr. Foxman was fairly intelligent but the following quote concerns me: "US – Israel friendship should never be used as a political wedge issue" Where has he been for the last 63 years?
24. but we need a change
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (10.25.11)
What ever it takes to have a change in the White House and get things back on track. Are they saying that we should not take advantage of our freedom of speech? Should our freedoms also be controlled by government. I know that they are saying no more talk radio and no more unbalanced news if it is not in line with the White House. Yeah, we need a change and to get back to our roots...
25. OBAMA
JW ,   ATLANTA, USA   (10.25.11)
Wrong move to withhold criticism of Obama until after elections....Have you not seen his attitude toward Israel in the first term....That is just a warmup for the nightmare ahead if Obama gets reelected. In his 2nd term you will reap the wrath he has in store for Israel and America. If criticism is deserved, then so be it...do not play games. Perhaps Obama could just be a better President to avoid criticism rather than beg those critical to remain silent while he pulls the wool over the eyes of the American people again.
26. Obama,the worse president in American history
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (10.26.11)
Why should criticism be stopped?this is reality and we need to say what needs to be said....Make Obuma term, the shortest in American history!!!! Make no mistakes and say..NO YOU CAN'T.....
27. 9
zionist forever   (10.25.11)
For all his flaws there is no denying Obama understands the rules of basketball and golf even if he doesn't understand about balancing the budget, creating jobs and what goes on in the rest of the world.
28. uncle toms and the lunacy
Golan ,   modiin   (10.26.11)
But these groups run by morons have got the Jewish public to contend with and the American Jewish public (while still Democrat-idiots!) do not support Hussien Barry Obama.
29. NO!
Aharon   (10.26.11)
Americans are free to chose their beliefs. The US is a democracy, not a nazi regime. The ADL and AJC are more than welcome to sign their pledge, but I don't encourage anyone to follow it.
30. Let me get this straight...
Dan ,   Philadelphia   (10.26.11)
Obama gets around 80% of the Jewish vote in his first campaign but we shouldn't be too vocal in voicing our displeasure when he intentionally weakens the US-Israeli relationship? Why? So that Dems can completely take our votes for granted, no matter what their policies are? God forbid the Democrats would only get 50-60% of the Jewish vote in 2012. Then perhaps they would have to think twice before insulting and weakening one of the most pro-American countries in the world. If Obama is re-elected with a strong majority of the Jewish vote, why in the world would a Democratic candidate - or a Republican one for that matter - ever consider how the Jewish population might vote?
