An airstrike would only delay it, since many of Iran's nuclear sites are underground. Israel can make it grind to a complete halt by taking the following steps: 1) Send commando teams to infiltrate Iran and take positions near each underground nuclear reactor. When the signal is given, they will blast their way in, kill all the scientists, and set explosive charges. They are then extracted by helicopters operating from a Sa'ar 5 warship and/or a base in Saudi Arabia, while Iran's radars are jammed. 2) Strikes from land and submarine-launched cruise missiles to take out all of the major reactors. 3) IAF fighter jets at a Saudi base to be armed and at the ready to intervene should Iranian troops interfere with the commandos' mission or their extraction. 4) Making sure that the Arrow missile and Iron Dome networks are in full working order and are full of missiles before embarking on the offensive. An Iron Dome battery should also be stationed in the north.
