Learning to shoot should never be advertised as a game. It is not. I used to admire (and still do) Israelis, including settlers, when I witnessed their mature attitude to war. You can, in fact, you MUST learn how to shoot, and even how to kill. But this is not an excuse for becoming cynical. It is a sad reality of life, not a game.

The authors make it sound like a cynical enterprise... but it is not. I wonder how much this is true class on self defence. The shame is to systematically mix Arabs with terrorists, even if it's not completely wrong. When you see the Gaza camp, the goal is clear - teach kids to fight AND kill Jews. In Gush Etzion the goal is to teach people to protect themselves against TERRORISTS. Not Arabs, not Muslims, but terrorists! While the Gazan camp is clearly racist, the Israeli camp has nothing to do with racism, it's a simple touristic adventure camp with some basic defense training.
