Morsi did not call for a Two state solution. He called for a Palestinian state in *all* occupied territories. His Arabic audience will understand that to include Israel proper, and indeed, it was meant that way, while he can go on fooling gullible westerners like yourself.

In his UN speech he complained about freedom of expression in the West being used to incite hate against Muslims. Actually in most cases the sometimes outragous criticism is directed at the excesses of Islam where they are wildly contrary to democratic values of the West, not directed at the Muslims in general. Morsi, to be believed, should talk to all the leaders & people of Muslim countries where the controlled medias are spewing constant hate & appeals to murder & genocide of Jews & other Infidels. Sorry to disabuse you of your population estimates, but the Jewish population of Israel and the West Bank is 6.3 million and the Arab population of Israel, West bank and Gaza is 5.5 million. So what is the point? How many Nobel prizes have the Arabs won(including all the Arab nations)? How much pioneering research into computer technology and electronics has been done by all the Arab nations? Where do the West Bank and Gaza Arabs send their most difficult medical cases?The answer to the last question is :Israel.The answer to the 2nd to the last is:not much compared to Israel. And the answer to the 3rd from last is: very few compared to Israel.

I would tend to agree with you that an end to the occupation would increase the opportunities for peace only if the Arabs sincerely want peace with the Jewish State.For the past 64 plus years they have not had the desire for a peaceful settlement.They wanted the entire west bank of the Jordan - still do!
