1. Let Obama Lead the Way?
Donna Diorio ,   Carrollton   (12.02.12)
Why would he lead on Israel's issues when he refuses to lead on U.S. issues? Get a grip J-Street.
2. Only in danger of ending if JStreet gets it way.
Hesh ,   Israel   (12.02.12)
3. DOES JEREMY BEN-AMI LIVE HERE ?
MR CYNIC ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (12.02.12)
I am guessing that Mr .Ben-ami does not reside here in Israel .If so ,he has little to worry about regarding hostile rocket fire ,because he will be out of harms way and it does not concern him. What does he mean exactly by " a two-state solution living side -by-side " ? Not on our land .
4. J-street worship of Obama exposes them as godless posuers
Jake ,   USA   (12.02.12)
5. #3 He lives in the US
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (12.02.12)
Ben-Ami's father, born in Tel Aviv, was a founder of the American Friends for a Jewish Palestine and other Zionist organizations. His grandparents were among the first settlers of Tel Aviv, where many relatives continue to live. He graduated from Princeton University and received a law degree from New York University. His political resume includes serving in the mid-1990s as the Deputy Domestic Policy Advisor in the White House to President Bill Clinton and working on seven Presidential and numerous state and local campaigns. He was Howard Dean’s National Policy Director in 2004 and helped manage a Mayoral campaign in New York City in 2001
6. J Street
howard singer ,   pittsburgh   (12.02.12)
We should not forget that J Street was created by Obama and some of his Jewish supporters in order to allow Obama to force upon Israel his policies. It is not an independent Jewish organization.
7. You expect Obama to act!
J Galt ,   Hidden Valley USA   (12.02.12)
He is too busy taking the USA back 14 centuries and turning it into a minion of the caliphate. When are you going to realize Obama is a muslim and desires for Israel's destruction. Better clear you eyes and mind before it is too late.
8. Is there life without Jstreet?
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (12.02.12)
Who needs the commentary of this anti-Jew Jew? According to him, life would be so much better if all of us J's would just disappear. Unfortunately with all of Jeremy's money he has not bought brains. Life is not so simple and our enemies are real and like to deceive. It may be easy to fool foolish people with lots of money, but us poor beggars in Jerusalem know the truth; with out our being strong there will be no peace.
9. mILK & hONEY better than nightmares

10.  LET OBAMA LEAD THE WAY
MR TRUTH ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (12.02.12)
Straight to the head of the unemployment queue.
11. Did George Soros pay to have this article published?
Jeremy Ben Imam ,   Los Angeles, CA   (12.03.12)
12. A B S O L U T E L Y - LOVE YOU JEREMY
ANTON ,   Jerusalem   (12.03.12)
Absolutely right, i was in my way to bethlehem when hamas was hitting rockets on the soth and i saw with my own eyes palestinian police and soldiers arresting all palestinians who were trying to burn tires and hit stones on rachel tomb, 100 of palestinian soldiers gathered around the tob area and protected the place. Ramallah recognizes israel and strengthing ramallah is strngthening israel... LET THER BE PEACE people
13. #5
David ,   New York, NY   (12.03.12)
When the author of an op-ed piece produces a shill in order to provide a (thankfully) brief biography of the author in a HOPELESS attempt to bolster the author's credibility, THAT"S PROGRESS! Why? Because this implies a recognition that most INFORMED people have long ago realized that Ben-Ami, J-Street, et.al. have as much to contribute on the subject of Israel's welfare as the mayor of Ramallah, and probably even less.
14. Our fate is in our own hands
Zsolt ,   Wanganui,NZ   (12.03.12)
As long as we wait for anybody else to "lead the way" we are lost. It is Jews inside and outside of Israel who have to prove their right to exist. It is time we correct the separation that happened over 2thousand years ago and again become a single, united Nation based on mutual guarantee. Only such a force can remove any doubts and create a positive image about Jews and Israel. Then we can again become examples and leaders for a broken world instead of scapegoats doubting ourselves.
15. J-(Jeremy) Street from another planet
Ber Lazarus ,   Montreal, Canada   (12.03.12)
called "wishful thinking". Obama shoudl do this, Israel should do that, before it's too late. Turn the clock back pre-Oslo and I seem to recall similar doom and gloom prophets. We've been down this road before. Remember Clinton? Barak? Olmert? Has Mr. J-Street no memory? Or perhaps he's the type that likes to prove the definition of insanity where you try to get a different result repeating endlessly that which constantly fails. Jeremy are you blind, deaf? Do you not see or hear what our enemies want to do, still after all these years and after all the negotiations one could possibly muster? And still you spew the same old tripe. They don't want a state living side by side. They want OUR state. Two states my tuchis! One state, OUR state and the Pals can find another place to make trouble. I say that Palestinian occupation of our land must end. END THE OCCUPATION!!!
16. He's a leader...That's a laugh!
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (12.03.12)
He's out golfing with Bill Clinton already. Thanks to all the people.... for the vote for four more years of putting the screws to Israel and the United States. He's gonna do you good...as well as decimate the United States economy. The golf course stocks have went up big time.
17. Middle East obama
cc ,   ss   (12.03.12)
In American we don't care about the Middle East right now. Far East Asia is the future for our economy and that where we want our president to concentrate not the region of the past.
18. The J Street Jews
Mike Keren ,   Parsipany NJ   (12.03.12)
Jeremy and his boys are delusional. They write Op Eds about other people's lives, and other peoples country as if they have the right to. Jeremy and his boys bask in the Glory of their Diety Obama, and believe with full hearts that his gift of Oratory can bridge the gap between Israel and Hamas, Hisbollah, et al, Until they put their children in range of Kassam Rockets and spend few years in Meluim they should shut up and collect donations for Magen David Adom,
19. J Street
Sy Dill ,   USA   (12.03.12)
J Street was funded and still is funded by George Soros and an unidentified Filipino millionaire. In the last election, they were instrumental in defeating several strongly pro-Israel Republican congressman. In truth, they are the overt spokesmen of the PLO passing on to the Jewish Community their bull about pro-Israel and pro-Peace. Unfortunately, the Jewish community in the States has swalloed a lot of their tales about how reactionary I Israel is.At best they are self-deceiving, at worse they pose a real danger to tackling the enemies of America and Israel.
20. J Street president calls on Obama
moriah ,   sacramento usa   (12.03.12)
Why don't we just let Abbas lead the way? There's no difference!
21. j street: they live in the US
steve ,   chicago   (12.03.12)
there is no diplomatic solution that Jeremy Ben Ami would force upon Israel that eliminates the Hamas/ Hezbollah missile stockpile. He simply pursues his own vanity project...he is a self promoter who lives in the US. As for US presence in the Middle East, note he fails to mention Syria or the 40,000 dead there. What is a peace treaty with Abbas with Syria on fire?
22. Read nr. 12!
Peter de Beer ,   Amsterdam, Netherlan   (12.03.12)
Read nr. 12, it brings nuance to all the discussions here.
23. He can't lead if we're too arrogant to follow
esse ,   --   (12.03.12)
...I'm also not sure Obama has the necessary drive that is necessary to bring about a two-state solution. To bring peace would require an American president willing to repeatedly knock together the heads of Israeli and Palestinians leaders. I'm not sure Obama has the will to do this. Instead for the next four years we'll have the same low level conflict on our borders that we recently saw with Gaza. Many Palestinians will be killed, not as many Israelis will be killed. Nothing good will come of it. I'm afraid there is a lot of suffering ahead before any solution will be found.
24. It all boils down to this.
Michael ,   Kokhav Ya'ir, Israel   (12.03.12)
It all boils down to Jerusalem. We can not give it up, ever... The PALS want us to agree to 67 borders before negotiating. This is a fact. That means they want half of Jerusalem before negotiating. This particular half of Jerusalem happens to contain our holiest site, the Western Wall and the Temple Mount. How insulting to even suggest we give this up.
25. peace
pires ,   chile   (12.03.12)
I worry about hoe much the Israeli government can har the Israeli state. This current government harms peace, harms israelis and palestinians. (and any decent human). The other way is let Lieberman take over, like Stalin did. I prefer the poetry of the kibutz of 1927-1981, before the Mickey Mouse took over.
26. Ahh, J Street guy. Mr. Ben Ary, I hope life is nice...
Miron ,   USA   (12.03.12)

27. oybama couldn't find his way out of a paper bag
debra ,   usa   (12.03.12)
28. 19, you forgot to mention that they also get some Arab money
AK   (12.03.12)
They were created to counter AIPAC, in other words, to work against Israel's interests. Why would Israeli newspaper give a platform to this anti-Israel zealot?
29. obama - go back to kenia - fake american

30. Let Obama lead from Behind!
Ariel ,   Europe   (12.03.12)
Big Behind is a good place for him to be. LOL.
