31. Hypocrites.
Az   (07.14.13)
Blah blah blah Torah! Blah blah blah Commandments! Blah blah blah the Rabbinate! Pharisees! What about that commandment that says to join the army - that one doesn't count anymore? What about the one saying not to draw pictures? That one doesn't count either? That makes no sense. Any rabbinate that says otherwise is full of it.
32. Since you call Secular delinquents...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.14.13)
hooligans, not Seculars... be fair play and call Haredi delinquents, hooligans , not Haredim. Stop hateful continuous bashing at Haredim. Avoid showing evident signs of obsessive disorder. Be happy. .
33. 8 Al,these "Eshet Hayil" won't marry ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.14.13)
secular men. They will look for men like your sons.
34. Mea Sharim
Neal ,   Minneapolis USA   (07.14.13)
I's never before heard any proposal to give Mae Sharim to the PA, but even if it was made in jest, it has possibilities. I see at least four. 1. Many Haredim don't recognize the state, so it shouldn't matter what sort of government is in control so long as they are allowed to live as they wish. 2. The PA demands Jerusalem for its capital. Mea Sharim is in Jerusalem; the PA could set up its government there-- likely in the spaces left vacant by the Jews who flee to Brooklyn. 3. The Haredim wouldn't be subject to an IDF draft, so things would calm down. 4. The Israeli government no longer would have to support Jews who don't recognize the state, don't serve in its defense forces, and don't work for their livings.
35. I will have to fast because of you.
Moshe ,   Jerusalem   (07.14.13)
Unfortunately once again the Jewish people will have to fast the 25 hours on Tisha B'Av. This fast is because of the HATE between Jews. And the ones to blame are the HAREDIM. Thank you for not bringing the Mashiach this year.
36. 35The ones to blame are the...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.14.13)
hooligans, not the Haredim.[read 32] And you for stereotyping.
37. Good work comrades!!
Zalman   (07.14.13)
Maybe you'll succeed in putting this persecution to a halt.
38. #36 Are you saying that its not the Haredim
Moshe ,   Jerusalem   (07.14.13)
The media reports its the Haredim that are attacking these soldiers are you saying they are not.
39. Not hooligans , charedim !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (07.14.13)
Some time ago it were "rotten apples" , now hooligans . But they are the same : charedim . If they are NOT charedim , where are the charedi rabbanim who condemn those acts ? Those rabbanim were those behind the protests against charedi draft , they incited this violence with their hateful words against this law
40. 38 I know the Haredim personally..
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.14.13)
and i talked with them about these hooligans. They are profoundly against such acts , which are distancing even more Secular Jews from Tora. That is "hilul Hashem"
41. we appreciate you:
ShebaLeah ,   Ashdod Israel   (07.14.13)
Challilah there should be a situation that we need every soldier - just because it is quiet now does not mean that we do not appreciate what you are doing, The Torah clearly specifies that we need an army to protect us in such situations. Those who keep quiet and those who upset you are not really observant chareidim.
42. I was attacked
Michal ,   LA, USA   (07.14.13)
In the eighties I was bullied. Musta been tenish. They made fun of my Reeboks. I had been livIng in the States and they were old news on discount in Chicago. Way more expensive in Israel. It made me hate religious people. It's been a long road to the middle because of them. Truly the greatest sin to make a Jew hate Jews. And a crime that needs to be punished.
43. 40 All Israeli Jews I know, know Herodim personally
Israeili Jew ,   Israel   (07.14.13)
None live in a vacuum like the Herodim insist on doing. Stop trying to blame the sins of the many, including observers who stand around and allow it to happen, tacitly approving, on a "few hooligans"
44. 40 , you "know the charedim personnally" ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (07.14.13)
But we don't hear their voices . We didn't see them defending this attacked soldier . We don't hear any of their "rabbanim" . Those you "know" are against it ? in your "wishfull thinking" ?
45. To #19, Miron
Eliezer Eisenberg ,   CHICAGO   (07.14.13)
Miron, can you guess what color Polar Bears are under their white fur? It would be nice if more people didn't jump to conclusions on the basis of ignorance and prejudice. I can dream, can't I?
46. 43 how would you stop a dozen...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.14.13)
of enraged rioters ?Observers did not approve but had not the means to intervene.
47. 46 Here's how
kippa seruga ,   Israel   (07.14.13)
1. with the camera on my cellphone taking photos of the perps 2. 2 against a dozen is better than 1 alone; I'd help 3. I'd curse the do-nothings standing around gawking and encouraging the "dirty dozen" and take photos of them too 4. I'd take names, report them to police and press charges. 5. I'd urge soldiers to travel in groups of 2-3 -- and, without loading them, use their rifles as close-quarter combat weapons Shall I go on. Excuses are not all you're full of.
48. 46 . those "enraged rioters"
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (07.15.13)
have "studied: gemara , you see the results ! Some of those Students became MENSCHEN by joining the IDF , most of the others are not worth anything
