31. US State Department: Mind your own Business
CJK   (08.12.13)
israel is a sovereign nation and she does not take orders from foreign entities.
32. 26
CJK   (08.13.13)
the eu cannot monitor its own muslim population. there are entire areas in france, the uk, and elsewhere where indigenous populations cannot enter without being raped, murdered, by muslims. the wealthiest neighbourhoods in london have been emptied of their british owners to escape from rich muslims who come and race their super luxury cars on the streets there.
33. #24 Chris
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (08.12.13)
WOW must have really touched a nerve. Not calling for Israel to sever all ties with the EU whilst safely ensconced in the United States then? Did I steal your thunder?
34. #25 David
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (08.12.13)
I guess we will have to agree to disagree then. But your card is marked, the days of the settler holding the rest of Israel hostage is coming to an end. I suggest you get use to it. And for the record who of the Palestinians being released tonight are baby killers?
35. Criticizing Israel's illegal construction hurts peace
David ,   Canada   (08.12.13)
Boy what a twisted logic Netanyahu has. How can he claim with a straight face that criticizing something that is so clearly an obstacle to achieving peace (e.g. illegally colonizing the other party's lands), be considered "damaging" to peace? Israelis have a very twisted sense of logic, that's for sure!
36. #26. In case you haven't noticed, the E.U. is collapsing.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.12.13)
All this ridiculous talks about "E.U. therapy" doesn't change the fact that the E.U. is collapsing. By all the criteria in which the health of societies are judged, the E.U. is going downhill fast. So you'd better save "E.U. therapy" for the E.U. Not that it will do any good.
37. #15. Vast majority of Israelis support Judea/Samaria.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.12.13)
Fake Sarah B; your ridiculous comments call your literacy into question. Have you not read the survey, released less than a month ago, showing the vast majority of Israeli oppose ceding Judea and Samaria? Like most Ynet readers, I am very accustomed to your always dumb comments. However, adopting the name of good Israeli patriot to spew your rubbish is unforgivable.
38. Looks like PM Netanyahu had a goooood surgeon since
Rivkah   (08.12.13)
it took ten years for me to recover from abdominal surgery that caused so many adhesions I think the surgeon poured suture glue into my abdomen. Low current electricity for 30 minutes twice daily for six months dissolved the adhesions. I was in horrific pain for ten years but did not take narcotics for pain, relying instead on an elastic waist band to hold my guts in. But PM Netanyahu is meeting with the German minister a day or so after his surgery? Maybe his was a minor surgery while mine was a major surgery.
39. Love the optimistic picture above article title
EU doctor   (08.12.13)
It sure works better when patients cooperate.
40. #22 That's why, Kowalsky, you should be forever
A ,   Belgium   (08.13.13)
grateful that the United States allows polakius ignoramius as yourself to further make a mockery of what was once a great nation and preach the filth and hatred that can only be a result of incest on a Polish hog farm.
41. #5 Well, you see, Kowalsky, the diplomats ARE
A ,   Belgium   (08.13.13)
dealing with Jews, who are a few million years further advanced than the sub-simians of your E. European nationality, whose cranial developmen somehow seemed to have slowed down between primordial slime and the neanderthal. I'm sure it would be much easier for the diplomats to speak to plumbers and hog butchers than doctors and lawyers, but someone has to do the tough jobs too.
42. kerry
alexi   (08.13.13)
read the baker report, read UN resolutions, read san remo, israel has every right to build on its ancient homeland. As for US views, since bibi won't tell you this, go to hell with your warped distorted views. And you can also tell obama that his friendship with kalidi will not rule the day on what israel does or does not. Obama by his tolerance of erdogan and his wild lying rantings has shown that his upbringing trumps any logic and he is not to be trusted. US troops assurances are worthless and israel does not need them. US materiel support is important but it is a 2 way street. You lost israel, you lose your anchor in that part of the world. Of course bibi doesn't have the guts to say this which is why he apologized to that piece of lying scum erdogan along with his turkish no nothing beilin dovetogolu.
43. Does Lavrov
Raphael ,   Netanya   (08.13.13)
Consider russian building in Koenigsberg is legal? East Prussia (twice larger than Judaea Shomron) was occupied and ethnically cleansed and settled by Russians in 1946. Please tell us the International Law, tovaritch!
44. Kerry's views are illegitimate and irrelevant
Cipora Julianna Kohn   (08.13.13)
kerry has never been an honest broker. kerry is openly siding with the arabs and he is thereby undermining the negotiations. the meddling by the us in israel's affairs have only aggrevated the conflict and lent legitimacy to the rejectionists and Islamic terrorists.
45. Israel should stop annoying its friends and the world
Dave ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (08.13.13)
Stop building and show a real, believable desire to make peace with the Palestinian people. Why keep irritating everyone?
46. Really ????
Mike ,   Nz   (08.13.13)
Hey Yanks ... How about getting out of Guam, Hawaii, Marshall Islands & Diego Garcia .If you are a black pot yourself then don't point your finger at the black kettle.
47. It is not entirely clear to this poster why, why Jews, only
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.13.13)
because they are members of the Jewish people, the Jewish race - to use the British meaning of the word - must refrain from dwelling in parts of earth? And, why Jews, only because they are Jewish, must refrain from dwelling in parts of their own ancestral homeland? It is the very homeland that was recognized by the international community as "the national home for the Jewish people", where Jews may reside at will! (San Remo conference, 1920; League of Nations decisions, 1922; and UN Charter, article 80, 1945). Wouldn't it be more appropriate and fairer that a territory that is considered by some as in-dispute be either totally open to all, or rather totally close to all to settle, until the dispute is resolved? And, if so, why expect the Jews, but not the Arabs, to refrain from leading normal life on earth? Has the concept of anti-Jewish racism crossed your mind...??
48. settlements for centrifuges
melton ,   baton rouge, usa   (08.13.13)
They say land for peace, I say build settlements since no one seems to have a problem with Iran building thousands of centrifuges now more than ever.
49. talking about occupation...
daniela ,   panama   (08.13.13)
... and we are displeased with the occupation of New Mexico, Arizona,California, Florida...i suggest those land be return to Mexico...
50. Really ????
Mike ,   Nz   (08.13.13)
Hey Yanks ... How about getting out of Guam, Hawaii, Marshall Islands & Diego Garcia .If you are a black pot yourself then don't point your finger at the black kettle.
51. Re: "Construction irks US"
Steve Klein   (08.13.13)
US irks me.
52. Stanley Hoyer has made it clear
CJK   (08.13.13)
the united states will not help keep order in judea and samaria. the united states has as much right to meddle in Israel's national security as it is willing to keep the islamic terrorists from attacking israel.
53. Israel's response to US+EU is over half million settlers
Sam ,   Canada   (08.13.13)
The opinions of the US and EU are important but they are not Israel's parents. The bible says the West Bank is part of the Jewish homeland. For Jews that supersedes anything the US, EU or anyone else may say. Israel has already agreed to make peace. The US and EU should get over their cowardice and have Palestinians agree to do the same.
54. International law is 100% on Israel's side.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.13.13)
Recently, more than 1,000 world renowned lawyers served the E.U. with proof Judea and Samaria belong to Israel. International law is 100% on Israel's side. There is no excuse for Bibi's government to hide the overwhelming proof that Israel owns Judea and Samaria. We should serve proof on the U.N., E.U., all world governments, NGOs, media and religious organizations. Of course, it won't win over Israel's enemies. However, it will expose them as the racist scum they are. It will hugely strengthen Israel's position and encourage our friends and allies.
55. Why US displeasure, huh?
Harry Wright ,   UK   (08.13.13)
What country has ownership of the land? Israel. How many countries are there involved in this nonsense? One, Israel. Why all the displeasure? Because the US, EU and UN want the Israelis to carve up their country and give away a huge chunk to some Arabs to create a brand new country for them, complete with a brand new people, the Pals people - made up of an assortment of Egyptians, Syrians, Jordanians etc who migrated to the area to find jobs and never left. I mean, nothing like Kurds at all, you know. I heard you can tell their origins from their names.
56. to #31: You take U.S. money, you should take U.S. orders
Gerry ,   Los Angeles USA   (08.13.13)
The ingratitude of America's fattest welfare queen knows no limits.
57. not our job to "please" kerry and obama
david ,   new york   (08.13.13)
BTW: as an american, i'm not particularly "pleased" with them: they are complete losers and have screwed up everything they ever touched (and i'm not even talking about the economy). its netanyahu's job to do what it right for israel and not to please people who don't care a rat's tuchis about us. if they want to throw us under the bus, its not our job to slide there easily so that they dont hurt their back doing it.
58. Someone should Kerrry
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (08.13.13)
That Israel is building on land that it had 3500 years before the Europeans had a wet dream about stealing the United States from the Native Indians
59. SORRY, FOLKS
(08.13.13)
releasing of murderers and terrorists by the usa and eu twisting israeli arms IS ALSO IRRITATING ISRAEL AS WELL.
60. 22
(08.13.13)
well, the jews are certainly the most successful economically and socially in the united states....much much less the polak farmer like yourself and your parents who came to the usa and all they could achieve is being a garage mechanic. jews also constitute the majority per capita of nationality of the most nobel prizes in the usa. compared to polaks immigrants who have gotten ZERO nobel prizes in the usa. talk about a worthwhile community?? look what you farmers achieved and look at the jewish achievement and experience in the usa from the beginning. i would say the usa benefited from jews much much more than they ever benefited from polaks, that is.
