1. not just Jews will suffer, christians also will be damned...
mary_of_Bethany ,   Singapore   (06.04.14)
"The Jews, Christians and communists must all be killed, until none remain." once again, UN and EU throw the arab christians under the bus,, by recognition of fraud coalition ...you place all the christians under the mercy of hamas which will kick out abbas one day ! in desperation to gander peace, you are now shredding peace into more pieces.
2. In short
Sam ,   Kfar Saba   (06.04.14)
Bibi ----edup(again) and we all take responsible (again)
3. Missed "opportunity" to make suicidal concessions.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.04.14)
It is fascinating to see the workings of the Israeli leftist mind. All that is bad is good to the leftist. All that is good is bad to them. The leftist believes Israel should always concede to her genocidal "Palestinian" foes. Not to do so is to "miss an opportunity". This explains why leftists have NEVER been correct on a single major issue since Israel was founded. From Oslo to Disengagement to Arafat to...everything. Leftists are infallibly wrong.
4. Gaza Warsaw ghetto, crime against humanity, Jews responsible
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (06.04.14)
Blaming Hamas in Gaza ghetto for hating Jews, is like blaming Polish Jews in Warsaw ghetto for hating Nazis.
5. Thank you
Ed ,   USA   (06.04.14)
Thank you for saying what needs to be said.
6. Hamas is a proxy of the Shia terror state of Iran
CJK   (06.04.14)
it is after consultations with iran and hezbollah that hamas had decided to join in a so-called unity government with fatah. the purpose is to take over the entire territory of the west bank. hamas is not giving up its twenty thousand armed terrorists in gaza. the unity government is a scam. furthermore, such a unity government would not have come into being without the agreement of obama. obama is a dangerous enemy of the jewish state.
7. Makes me wonder why:WHY when faced with openly murderous in-
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.04.14)
tentions of Arab Islamofascists, does Mr.Yemini think Israel has to be extra cunning and "smart"?! As if simply & plainly showing the true face of Islam to the world won't do the trick for the Jews? In a way he's right, the "World" knows all the fine details of Arab mindset, they just don't think it matters vis a vis Israel. So maybe we should finally start doing EXACTLY what we're doing: finally saying NO, ENOUGH!
8. Maybe sincerely mistaken......
History nut ,   Israel   (06.04.14)
otherwise a suicidal and murderous maniac.
9. Many Nazi Sympathisers in Hamas
Zichron   (06.04.14)
Even before 1928 there were many Viscious antiJews In the Arab World .Iraq and Egypt were better but Yemen and the Gulf States were Toxic. As Jewish immigration increased the hatred exponentiated. The Moslem Brotherhood were the most vociferous .They rejected the Partition Plans of 1937 and the 1947 UN Partition Plan Blockading Jewish Jerusalem .No change since then except the Harsh Reality.
10. What a picture
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.04.14)
All beaming, laughing, hap happy...I wish Abbas would let us in to whats so funny Maybe the idea that Palestinians in the West Bank - have now become chief benefactors for Hamas and saviours of the Gaza Economy that Hamas have plundered? Because as yet NO ONE in the PA has come out to state clearly what Palestinians in the West Bank...in this 'historic' unification have signed up to And when we demand answers and clarification..we get just silence. SO WHAT ARE THEY HIDING
11. #3 Chaim - unhelpful
Samuel ,   Melbourne   (06.04.14)
Your anti-leftist comments don't really do much at all...besides showing that you, Chaim, are not a leftist. A so-called 'leftist' could say the exact same to you. "All that is bad is good to the rightist. All that is good is bad to them." These words don't really mean anything. This could just as easily be said: rightists have contributed to so much misery in the region. From the assassination of Rabin, to Baruch Goldstein, to the current government who are depriving the Palestinians of a state and living on land that was not awarded to them.
12. Since Thorah forbids suicide.....

13. good op-ed
rm ,   NL Amsterdam   (06.04.14)
nice to read such a sane comment in an increasingly charged environment. thanks.
14. So Simple
Ed ,   USA   (06.04.14)
It's so simple the previous commentators can't see it. Give Hamas and the PA the chance to either do the right thing, or fail. But by jumping ahead in the process Bibi again makes Israel look bad, and Israel gets the blame. All it takes is the patience to wait through a few news cycles. What a total failure hasbarah has been lately.
15. #3 Chaim - You are so Correct
Chana ,   U.S.A.   (06.04.14)

17. I'm a Christian
Rami ,   Palestine   (06.04.14)
and life in Palestine with Fateh and Hamas is good. The only problems we have are those that originate from Israel.
18. Bravo #3 as always!
Israeli 2   (06.04.14)
Chaim, I honestly tried to understand their logic. I asked Ron Ben Yishai a question I never got an answer to. Do they use their left side of their brain....or.....is it that they have no brain left?
19. Ben-Dror is right
albert snow ,   sweden   (06.04.14)
100% right.
20. Negotiating with Murders such as Hamas
rozie   (06.04.14)
Mr Yemini is in la-la land. The charter of Hamas has not changed. Their charter states that murder Jews ANYWHERE that you find them. You want to negotiate those that want to kill you and destroy your home. This is what Obama's advisor, Robert Molley, an enemy of the Jewish people and Israel wants. I am sure he was instrumental in bringing about the unity gov't. He is a disgusting person. His family was extremely close to the murderer ARAFAT.
21. #17 Before you come to any conclusion
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.04.14)
Have you seen to actually read the Small Print of the so called Agreement? Despite searching and pestering the PA I cant find a word about the Terms of this Fatah Hamas Marraige Unity as a goal is fine..but is this real Unity or simply a means by Hamas to manipulate Sugar Daddy Abbas to bail them out? Who is going to pay for this Unity? Is the PA now guarantor of Gazas debts? Is the West Bank about to become Hamas Military base? Does Hamas continue to milk the Gaza Economy and proliferate such corruption? Is the West Bank about to adopt Hamas Style Religious Fundametalism? Or worse...Is what Hamas Hardliners are boasting RIGHT NOW..this is just the start of a Hezbollah Style takeover of the West Bank
22. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.04.14)
Crime against humanity? Hamas is guilty of crimes against humanity, for caching weapons in hospitals, mosques and schools, and for launching missiles and mortars against Israel from civilian areas. Moreover, your analogy is completely inapposite. Israeli actions taken against Hamas in Gaza have all been retaliatory. Thirty thousand missiles and forty thousand mortars have been fired at defenseless Israeli civilians from Gaza. Are you so ignorant that you do not know that the sovereign State of Israel has an affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens? Did you not know that by caching weapons in schools, mosques, hospitals and launching them from civilian areas, Hamas has effectively made those schools, mosques, hospitals and civilian areas legitimate military targets? It is Hamas who are the Nazis; Hamas who are the war criminals. Israel's right to defend its population is absolute. Terrorist organizations, on the other hand, have no rights. That's also black-letter law. But you don't really care about the law, do you?
23. To No. 3.
Bertram ,   London, UK   (06.04.14)
Among others, wasn't Israel founded by a significant number of 'leftists'?
24. Attention all Idiots...
Erudite ,   Australia   (06.04.14)
..... who believe this unholy union of hamas fatah would lead to peaceful existence should seek psychiatric help ASAP. Einstein understood your symptom when he said. "Insanity:.....Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"
25. overture to unity govt,
howard schaerf ,   n.y.c u,s.a   (06.04.14)
the author looks to score brownie points with the EU. a foolish left wing trope another useful idiot
26. #11. "Palestinian" statehood fiction began in 1967.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.04.14)
Before Israel liberated Judea and Samaria in the 1967 Six Days War, we never heard anything about "Palestinians" wanting a state in Judea and Samaria. We heard plenty of Arab boasts about destroying Israel. The fiction about "Palestinian" right to statehhood in Judea and Samaria was invented in 1967. Israel needs to end the fiction, once and for all, by implementing The Israeli Solution as advocated by Caroline Glick and Moshe Feiglin.
27. Missed opportunity
A. Mizrahi ,   Mamaroneck N.Y.   (06.04.14)
Ben Dror is Absolutly right. We could have taken the wind out of the Unit Goverment by accepting it on condition Thst Hamas publicly accepts the Quartet's conditions for recognition. As is we created further unneccecery friction with US and EU. We should be Smart and put the once in the other side by let them reveal their true intentions.
28. A Unity between the Devil and Satan does not -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (06.04.14)

29. Ben-Dror is a big optimist.
Ben ,   Israel   (06.04.14)
Ben-Dror is a big optimist. If we welcome this unity government the Quarter will ignore our exposes and press on our concessions. Ben.
