PM to Mitchell: Crossing to remain closed until Shalit returns
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said to US special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell that the border crossings in the Gaza Strip will remain closed until kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit is returned home. Olmert said that the crossings will only be opened for humanitarian aid to enter the Strip.
In addition, Olmert emphasized to Mitchell that a Gaza ceasefire will come only if rocket fire and all terrorist activities are stopped in the Gaza Strip. (Roni Sofer)
