Renowned British actress Helen Mirren arrived in Israel on Sunday to prepare for her role in a new Hollywood remake of the Israeli movie "The Debt," in which she will portray a former Mossad agent sent to hunt down a Nazi officer.
Mirren, whose acclaimed performance in 'The Queen' won her the 2007 Academy Award for Best Actress, has already started taking Hebrew lessons and studying the history of the Mossad as part of the preparations for the part.

The original movie, created by Ido Rosenblum and Assaf Bernstein, tells the story of three Mossad agents who fail in their mission to capture a Nazi war criminal and bring him to justice in Israel.
The English version, which is being produced by Miramax, recently began filming in Israel, Britain and Germany.
Mirren will be staying in Israel for a week. Shortly after landing in the country she reportedly told her friends that she was "in love" with Israel and was even considering buying a summer house in Tel Aviv.
