Palestinian woman plans stabbing attack in Emmanuel

West Bank observation post spots woman carrying knife near Emmanuel security fence. Subsequent check reveals woman suffers from psychological issues

Police arrested a Palestinian woman, 32, from the village of Habla who was caught carrying a large knife near the Emmanuel settlement's security fence. The woman said she was planning to carry out a stabbing attack.

 

She was spotted by an observation post in the area. She dropped her knife to the ground when an Emmanuel security patrol arrived at the scene. The woman told police officers that she was planning to carry out a terrorist attack. A subsequent examination revealed that the woman suffers from personal problems and may have intentionally sought to get arrested.

On Monday, a terror attack was thwarted when two Palestinians were spotted by an observation post infiltrating the Elon Moreh settlement. It is suspected the two were planning to carry out an Itamar-style massacre.

 

During the ensuing pursuit, led by Golani forces, the two fled towards the nearby Palestinian village of Azamut. They were refused shelter by several of the resident and eventually turned over to the IDF by the headmaster of the local school.
