Former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak
has slipped into a full coma, a spokesman for Egypt's
Interior Ministry said Monday.
"Mubarak entered today into full coma. His two sons Gamal and Alaa submitted a request to the prison authority to move beside him and it has been accepted," ministry spokesman Alaa Mahmoud was quoted by CNN as saying.

"His health has been deteriorating since the verdict, with high blood pressure, problems breathing, and irregular heartbeat," Mahmoud added.
Mubarak, 84, suffered an acute heart attack following his trial and subsequent life imprisonment verdict.
He has been slipping in and out of consciousness for eight days and has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital, after being treated at the Tora prison hospital.
