A 25-year-old relative of one of the people involved in the Barnoar
shooting was arrested Friday on suspicion he raped a woman in an apartment in Petah Tikva.
According to the police, the victim – a lawyer – arrived together with the suspect to the apartment. The following morning she filed a complaint with the police claiming she was raped. Police then arrested the suspect.

Meanwhile, police are still searching for the state witness in the Barnoar case who escaped a police safe house on Thursday where he was held. The witness managed to escape despite the fact six officers were assigned to watch him.
Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich discussed the matter with Tel Aviv Police officials on Friday.
"The disappearance will be examined in due time and lessons will be drawn," he said. "I am here mainly to support the police. I have no doubt that their determination will lead to the witness's return and to the completion of the investigation," Aharonovich said.
