A doctor from Umm al-Fahm
was arrested Wednesday on suspicion that he committed indecent acts
and sodomy on two female soldiers who had come to his Hadera office. Both women said they had decided to file complaints after learning he had allegedly done the same to other women, but continued to work. The suspect denies the allegations.
Two female soldiers who not know each other, filed complaints against the doctor, 30, this week. They said they had come to him after they felt ill, but he touched their bodies in areas unrelated to their complaints. According to the statements they gave, he committed an indecent act and sodomy.

The doctor was detained for questioning and has been remanded in custody. Police suspect that there are additional victims, and are calling for others who have fallen victim to the doctor to come forward.
Earlier, a resident of Jisr az-Zarqa was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 12th grade student on the night of her prom. According to the girl’s statement, after she fell asleep on a couch, the man touched her under her clothes and kissed her.
