An Umm al-Fahm resident in his 30s arrived at the local police station Sunday and said he had killed his 57-year-old aunt, Fatman Hassuna Mahjana.
Police consequently rushed to the victim's apartment, where they found Mahjana 'sbody in the refrigerator.

- Police arrested the suspect and launched an investigation of the circumstances.
A local who walked the police into the house told Ynet: "We went into the house and found her in the fridge showing signs of abuse. He must have left her in the fridge since yesterday and only today decided to come clean about it."

- A police source added that the victim "died as a result of stabbing and at this point it's still unclear what the circumstances are. Some of his family members insist he's not the one who killed her."
"At this point we're investigating several leads," the police source noted, adding that the victim "was unwed and living alone."
Samah Salima Ajarbiya, who runs an organization dedicated to fighting violence against women in the Arab sector, spoke to Ynet and said: "Murder after murder in the Arab society.
- "How long will the murderers of women go unpunished? When will be come to understand that these types of murders are an untreated cancer in our society?"
