Military Police have arrested two officers – a major and a non-commissioned-officer at the rank of master-sergeant – for allegedly dealing drugs, among them the date rape drug.
The major was arrested Wednesday and was then released after questioning. The non-commissioned-officer was taken into custody a few days ago and his remand has since been extended.

Apparently, the arrests were made as part of a wider drug investigation conducted by Tel Aviv District Police who questioned people who bought drugs – among them the date rape drug – and the officers' name surfaced as their supplier.
The IDF Spokesperson Unit said that "the issue is currently under Military Police Investigation. In recent days, a man suspected of dealing drugs was arrested, his remand was extended. Regarding the officer, he was detained by the police and the military police.
