Successful American pop rock band will perform at Tel Aviv's Yarkon park on May 28; pre-sale tickets offered for NIS 250.

OneRepublic, one of the most successful pop rock bands in the world today, has confirmed that it will perform at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park on May 2015.

The American group will arrive in Israel as part of a world tour promoting its fourth album, which will be released later this year.

Pre-sale tickets are being offered for NIS 250 (about $63), and the price will later go up to NIS 320. Golden ring tickets will be sold for NIS 499.

OneRepublic was founded in Colorado in 2002, when it began playing shows throughout the Los Angeles area.

In 2007, after gaining popularity on the Myspace social network, it released its debut album, "Dreaming Out Loud," with the big hit "Apologize," which was remixed by American rapper Timbaland and became a huge international success, reaching No. 1 in 16 countries.

The album's second single, "Stop and Stare," was a big hit too, selling more than two million digital downloads worldwide.

In 2009, OneRepublic released its second album, "Waking Up," which produced more internationally successful singles such as "All the Right Moves", "Secrets" and "Marchin On."

The band's third album, "Native," was released in 2013 and includes its biggest hit in recent years, "Counting Stars." The song reached the top 10 in 20 countries and became one of the most played songs of the year.

The band's lead vocalist, Ryan Tedder, has written and produced songs for many famous artists, including Adele, One Direction and Beyoncé.

The band is being brought to Israel by producers Shay Mor Yosef and Guy Beser.
