British singer Elvis Costello will arrive in Israel and hold a single concert at the amphitheater in Caesarea on June 30. Tickets will go on sale Monday.

The singer has yet to announce other dates lined up for his planned European tour this summer, but is slated to hold concerts in the United States from April until mid-May.

Costello, 55, was born as Declan Patrick MacManus in London. Since the end of the 1970s he has been considered as one of the most respected artists in the world, with such classic songs as "Allison" and "She." His latest album was released last summer.

The singer is joining a line of many high-profile artists who are scheduled to perform in Israel this summer, including fellow Brits Elton John and Rod Stewart and American indie band the Pixies.

Ynet learned that local producers are working on bringing other prominent musicians to the Holy Land, including Beck, Charlotte Gainsbourg and D.J Shadow.
