TLV Show is a new initiative offering a tour of Tel Aviv's streets, with the show happening all around you. You won't be able to guess what's going to happen, which of the people on street are actually part of the show and who you can trust. Anything can be part of the game.
So what goes on there? Without revealing too much, so as not to spoil the fun, we'll just tell you that the players receive weird phone calls or emails shortly before joining the game, as well as different instructions for action, and are asked to show up at different meeting points across the big city.
From that moment, they become part of the entire show. On a route stretching across several kilometers, they have to participate in secret missions and deal with unexpected characters on the streets, in cafés, pubs and other places.
'Straight out of a Hollywood movie'
One of the people behind the new initiative, which is already ranked fourth on TripAdvisor's list of Tel Aviv attractions, is Alon Lester, a high-tech entrepreneur who lives in the United States.
"For years I had a dream to create an event for people which would take them out of their routine life and turn one day in their life into something more exciting," he tells Ynet from New York, where a similar show is performed successfully, as well as in Los Angeles, London and other cities.
"I have always wondered what it's like to be James Bond for a day, if it's possible to make regular people like me experience an exciting reality which seems as if it was taken straight out of a Hollywood movie," Lester adds.
"I am very proud of this show, which was born after years of planning and hard work. With an amazing team of writers, directors and actors, we take regular people like you and me and turned the reality they live in into a mysterious action film for several hours."
The game is offered both in Hebrew and in English, at the players' request. It's not cheap – NIS 219 (about $60) per participant, but discounts are offered on the TLV Show's Facebook page. The price includes the entire experience, as well as refreshments and drinks (including alcohol).
