About Us and the Project

The “Gal-Hed” project was created in order to share the stories of IDF soldiers and members of Israel’s security forces who fell in the “Iron Swords” war, which broke out on October 7, 2023. Each fallen soldier was an entire world, with a face, a name and a full life cut short. The heroes who fell were survived by parents, siblings, family relatives, friends and fellow soldiers whose lives were forever changed. The aim is to honor their memory, so their stories remain with us always.
The initiative is led by media, commemoration and security organizations working together to create a digital hub where every story is given its rightful place. It is not only an online memorial, but an ongoing journey of remembrance, connection and humanity.
