Ido was a true friend, a devoted brother and someone whose combination of deep sensitivity and wisdom made him an anchor for his friends and family. At school, he was known for making peace between children, mediating disputes and showing unconditional love, qualities that inspired the book written in his memory, The Boy With the Purple Heart.
A love for Beitar, pride in his service and a legacy of optimism
Alongside his great love for the Beitar Jerusalem soccer club, Ido took immense pride in serving as a combat soldier in the Givati Brigade. He served with dedication, fierce motivation and unwavering commitment to his mission, and was deeply loved and respected by his commanders and fellow soldiers.
Even in the most difficult and challenging moments, he knew how to find the good, spread light and project a sense of calm. His death left a profound void, but his smile, integrity and enduring optimism will continue to inspire all who cherish his memory. May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
