MRAR - New riots feared: A leaflet threatening to harm Christian residents was distributed at the northern village of Mrar Sunday night.
Tense calm currently prevails at the village, after violent clashes between Druze and Christian residents erupted there several weeks ago.

Christians interested in avoiding confrontation with their Druze neighbors are invited to raise a white flag on the roof of their home, or alternately, leave the village for good, the leaflet says.
Police launch investigation
However, the threats are not aimed only at Christians, but also at police officers from a nearby station who were called in to quell the earlier riots.
“We’ll know how to get to you,” the leaflet says.
Christian residents said they are concerned about the latest threats.
“We are scared for our life and our children’s lives as it is,” one resident said. “Distributing a leaflet like this only heightens the fears.”
The police, meanwhile, are treating the leaflet seriously and have launched an investigation into the matter.
