JERUSALEM - Two Hamas terrorists who planned and participated in the terror attack at Jerusalem's Cafe Hillel in 2003 were sent to seven life terms plus 30 years in prison by the Jerusalem District Court Thursday . The September 2003 suicide bombing in the German Colony neighborhood coffee shop left seven people dead and dozens injured. Two weeks ago, the two were convicted of murder, attempted murder, and aiding the enemy during a time of war. During the court deliberations, the terrorists, Ahmed Abid, 38, and Na'al Abid, 26, did not express remorse for their actions, and said terror attacks would cease only if Hamas would order such a move. “If you (Israelis) would stop killing our children, we will stop killing yours,” one of them said. 'Bombing a diabolical act' The judges said in Thursday’s verdict that the convicted terrorists planned the attack, chose the designated location, obtained the explosive belts used in the attack, and led the suicide bomber to the coffee shop. “The lethal terror attack carried out by the defendants, which was meant to sow death and destruction among as many innocent human beings as possible, is a diabolical act which removes its perpetrators from the realm of humanity," the judges said in the verdict.
