The festival will feature writers from Israel, Egypt, Spain, Albania, France, Malta and Turkey.
VIP will include Knesset member Yossi Sarid, and several European poets.
Festival organizer Dr. Naim Araidi said this year’s celebration will feature panel discussions on a variety of topics, including poetry and identity, feminine literature and poems, and will include meetings between writers and readers.
Open-microphone evenings
The festival's open-microphone evenings are expected to be a highlight. Every evening, starting at 7 p.m., the central stage will be made available for anyone who wishes to read original works.
The festival will conclude with an evening commemorating popular Arab poetry, in which famous Arab poets are set to participate and read their works.
The producers of the festival said they will publish a book featuring some of the festival’s poems.
