Israeli pharmaceutical company receives FDA approval for new anti-psychotic drug
PETACH TIKVA - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said Wednesday it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the sale of a new anti-psychotic drug.
Shipment of Teva's new drug, Clozapine, is expected to begin immediately.
Clozapine is to be marketed in 25 mg and 100 mg doses and is the generic version of Novartis's Clozaril.
Total sales for both the branded and generic products reach approximately USD 183 million a year.
