Films 'Made in Israel' show in N.Y.
Festival to feature features, shorts, TV shows, video, photography and - what fun - parties
NEW YORK - Thousands are expected at the third annual "Made in Israel" film festival, one of many such festivals that have begun in the U.S. in recent years, will be held at New York's Sutton Place Synagogue on June 4-5.
Organizers are describing it as "a taste of the rich diversity of life in Israel, through award-winning films, video art, photography, special guests and parties."
The program includes the American debut of Dana Modan's popular Israeli TV drama "Love Hurts." Other award-winning films including "Campfire," and "Turn Left at the End of the World."
Also on tap at the festival are video and photography exhibitions by Israeli artist Galit Bechor, and the "Pen Pal Project."
The opening night reception will be hosted by Eytan Schwartz, winner of the Israeli reality TV show, "The Ambassador," and a Ynetnews columnist. A selection of segments from the program will be shown.
The festival will also feature talks and discussions with prominent speakers, parties on Saturday and Sunday, and two photography exhibits.
