GAZA - A Palestinian man was killed in an explosion in the northern Gaza Strip, hospital officials said early Saturday. The explosion occurred outside a building in the town of Beit Lahiya, which is just north of Gaza City. Residents identified the man as a 21-year-old member of Hamas. Two other men in their 20s were moderately wounded, hospital officials said. Eyewitness also identified the two as Hamas members. There was no immediate sign that Israel was involved, and police were investigating the incident. In a separate incident Friday afternoon, an explosive charge was detonated near an IDF armored personnel carrier traveling in the Erez industrial zone in Gaza.
