Magen David Adom paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile, large police forces arrived at the site of the crime and launched an investigation into the incident.

Four suspects involved in the brawl were taken in for questioning.

Police forces set up roadblocks at all roads leading out of the town in a bid to identify the suspect in the case.

Victim stabbed in torso

An initial investigation revealed the victim’s wife arrived at the scene of the murder to collect on the debt. Soon after, the woman and the relatives of the man who owed her the money got into an argument, with each side calling in “reinforcements.”

The woman’s husband subsequently arrived in the area and was later murdered.

An MDA team was called to the scene around 9 p.m. but was unable to save the man, who lost a large quantity of blood after being stabbed in his torso.

Paramedic Noam Orlinsky told Ynet the rescue workers found the victim lying bleeding on the road.

“There was a large crowd at the scene…the guy was lying on his stomach” he said.

The latest murder brings the murder total for the year to 71, a whopping increase compared to the 49 murdered reported at the same time last year.
