GAZA - Two IDF

The bomb was set off at around 7:30 a.m.
Last Friday four IDF soldiers were lightly injured when a bomb was detonated on their jeep as they were traveling along the Sufa Crossing

On Monday IDF and Border Guard forces conducted a supervised explosion of a 25-kilogram bomb (about 55 pounds) they had discovered along the security fence near the north Gaza settlement of Dugit, and during the weekend four soldiers were injured when a similar bomb exploded near the jeep they were traveling in close proximity to the Sufa crossing in south Gaza.

Moreover, at least four additional bombs placed by terrorists along the Palestinian side of the security fence were neutralized last week. In most cases the bombs are set off by remote control as an Israeli vehicle approaches the area. The passengers are injured from shrapnel and from the explosion itself. This method of operation is similar to that used by Hizbullah in south Lebanon before the IDF’s withdrawal.
