GAZA – At least seven Palestinians sustained injuries after clashes between Palestinian Authority security forces and Hamas terrorists resumed early Tuesday.
Intra-Palestinian violence continued to escalate as al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades members delivered on an earlier pledge and joined PA forces in their battle against the Hamas.
At one point, Fatah members set a Hamas religious studies center on fire.
Exchanges of fire have been reported mainly in the northern Gaza Strip, as PA forces attempted to block Hamas terrorists from launching more rocket and mortar attacks at Israeli settlements and the southern town of Sderot.

The violence resumed despite a second meeting between Hamas representatives and an Egyptian delegation Monday called in a bid to ease the tensions. During the session, the Hamas committed itself to ending its mortar and rocket attacks.
More meetings between the Egyptian delegation and Palestinian terror groups are scheduled for Tuesday.
Palestinian residents confront Hamas terrorists
Palestinian officials charged the Hamas is attempting to draw Israel into carrying out a large-scale operation in the Strip in a bid to thwart the upcoming Gaza pullout.
Meanwhile, the PA pledged Monday to stop attacks on Israeli communities at all costs. The warning received a boost from the Fatah’s al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, who threatened to join security forces in their efforts against the Hamas should the terror group continue targeting PA forces.
On another front, there are increasing reports of Palestinian residents in the northern Gaza Strip and Khan Younis area who have been confronting Hamas terrorists in a bid to prevent them from launching rockets and mortars.
