Disengagement Office says technical problem due to adding of additional phone service centers

Hello, Disengagement Authority?

84-year-old Netanya resident says he’s been trying to reach office in charge of upcoming pullout for 10 consecutive days, but to no avail; authority in response: Problem will be fixed Sunday

Despite an extensive ad campaign launched by the Disengagement Authority that called on people to turn to it with any pullout-related problems or inquiries, 84-year-old Pinchas says he could not get past the office’s voice mail messaging system for 10 consecutive days.

“I am trying to contact them every day; I want to ask them questions regarding the evacuation of my grandson,” said the Netanya resident.

“They advertise their phone number as 08-661-0050, but there is nothing there except a voice message that says, ‘the voice box you have reached is full, you may not leave a message.’ If you cannot believe their ads when it comes to such an elementary detail, how can I believe that their checks won’t bounce?”

Pinchas says his grandson also failed in his attempt to contact the Authority by phone.

The Disengagement Authority said in response, “On Thursday there was a problem as technicians worked to install additional phone lines and service centers; the problem is expected to be solved on Sunday.”
