Israeli reporters harass Iranian president

Israeli reporters surround Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a U.N. corridor as he heads out of meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin; American security guards shoved, yelled at reporters

What happens when Israeli journalists run into a group of senior Iranian officials headed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? A riot.

Israeli reporters surrounded Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a U.N. corridor as he was heading out of a meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

However, a riot quickly ensued as American security guards shoved and yelled at the Israelis, who were hoping for a scoop from the leader of an enemy state.

“Are you willing to discuss the disengagement,” one journalist shouted toward the president.

“Are you willing to discuss the nuclear issue?” another reporter asked.

Ahmadinejad refused to cooperate; he stood still, surrounded by Iranian and American security personnel, then jotted something down on a piece of paper and began talking in Persian into the microphones that were shoved in front of him.

A number of reporters were then pushed aside by the American security guards, and some even took an elbow or two to the body. The incident ended when the Iranian president was escorted to a nearby elevator.
