Police, Prison Service: Accused ex-minister planned to skip the country

Former minister Gonen Segev currently serving time in a prison in the north was transferred to a closed wing, after Israel Prison Service and the police received information regarding his intention to skip the country during one of his leaves.

 

Segev is currently serving a five-year sentence after he was accused of smuggling 32,000 ecstasy tablets into Israel with a fake passport. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
