According to the report, associates of the Jackson family reported to the Santa Barbara police in Los Angeles that the singer had recently taken an overdose consisting of Demerol and Jack Daniels.

According to some reports, Jackson has already taken an overdose a number of times since arriving in Bahrain after he was acquitted of molesting a child in the United States.

Jackson's spokesman denied the report, saying that the singer was currently busy recording a song together with other artists for the Hurricane Katrina victims.

The spokesman added that he had been with Jackson the entire week and had never seen him happier and in a better mood. He also advised the National Enquirer to start looking for a good lawyer.
