High Court petition: Sharon's replacement should be from Likud

Yossi Fox, a lawyer contending the Likud party list, has petitioned the High Court claiming that Ehud Olmert cannot replace Sharon as prime minister, and that Sharon's replacement must be a Likud representative.
According to Fox, "the correct interpretation of the law is that, since Prime Minister Sharon was appointed by the president to form a government while Likud Chairman, Sharon is serving as a Likud prime minister." (Ilan Marciano)
