Terror in style: A Danish fashion firm is set to design and market T-shirts inspired by 'rebel fighters' and donate the proceeds to Palestinian and Colombian terror groups, the BBC news channel has reported last week.

The firm, Fighters and Lovers, has pledged to donate 5 euros of each T-shirt it sells to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc).

The money will finance the establishment of a Farc radio station in Colombia, and a graphics studio in the Palestinian territories.

According to the designers, the T-shirts were inspired by Palestinian terrorist Leila Khaled, among others.

The Colombian government has protested to the Danish authorities over the sale of the T-shirts.

"Financing terrorist groups is unacceptable and goes against all the international norms," Colombian Foreign Minister Carolina Barco said Friday.

"Yesterday our ambassador contacted the Danish government, we sent a protest note and have demanded an explanation," he added.

'No worried about legal problems'

In its website, the company warns potential buyers that purchasing the T-shirts may entail legal problems, due to American and European 'anti-terrorist' legislation, which outlaws financial support to organizations labeled as 'terrorists.'

However, Fighters and Lovers Spokesman Bobby Schultz told AFP news agency he was unconcerned.

"We are absolutely not worried about being dragged to court and sentenced. It's our customers who decide to buy our T-shirts and support these groups," he said.

"And we have the right to fight for something, for justice or the right to education, which Farc and the PLFP are fighting for."
