Online class: Basic Jewish Genealogy (English)

 

A four-week online Jewish genealogy class, with JFRA Israel’s Micha Reisel and Schelly Talalay Dardashti, will begin February 2. Two online class chats and two detailed lessons per week, dedicated website, discussion group. Introduction to Jewish genealogy and the basics, names, geography, how to get started, what to look for and where, and much more. Includes access to www.ancestry.com databases, a great resource for immigration, census and other data. Fee.

Field Trip: Jabotinsky Institute

Museum tour and lecture about the Institute’s archive and library by archive manager Amira Stern.

For more than 60 years, the Institute has fostered and disseminated the legacy and heritage of Ze'ev Jabotinsky and the National Movement. It holds an extensive research library and an archive with hundreds of thousands of original documents of Jabotinsky, the National Movement and the Jewish Underground Organizations which fought for liberation of Eretz Israel and the establishment of the State.
