Nablus: IDF kills Palestinian attacker
Soldiers operating in Nablus spot man hurling Molotov cocktail, shoot him to death; another Palestinian hurt after attempting to place explosive device
A Palestinian man who hurled a Molotov cocktail at IDF forces operating in the West Bank town of Nablus Friday afternoon was shot and killed by troops, local residents said.
The troops, which operated in Nablus' Rafidiya neighborhood spotted the suspect hurling the Molotov cocktail and promptly opened fire at him, according to the accounts.
Meanwhile, another Palestinian was hurt by IDF fire in Nablus after troops spotted him as he was attempting to place an explosive device in the area.
No troops were injured in the latest operation.
Earlier Friday, Palestinian sources reported exchanges of fire between IDF troops and a group of senior wanted suspects belonging to the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades.
Eyewitnesses said three people were hurt and three others detained in the fierce gunfight at the Balata refugee camp.
The army has been operating in Balata starting early Friday in a bid to detain wanted terror suspects. In the morning, troops spotted three armed Palestinians and opened fire, wounding them. In another incident, a Palestinian gunmen opened fire at troops.
No injuries were reported among soldiers
