Female tourist ordered to undress at airport

French tourist complains security personnel at Ben-Gurion Airport took her to toilets, asked her to take off pants, underwear. Israel Airports Authoritys confirms incident, says man was suspended; police launch inquiry

Embarrassment at Ben-Gurion Airport: A Israel Airports Authority security personnel took a French tourist to a toilet cubicle and asked her to undress for a "security check," Ynet has learnt.

The tourist took off her trousers, but refused orders to take off her underwear and complained to airport officials.

The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) said the man has been dismissed and a police complained was filed against him.

The man presented himself as a security personnel to the tourist and asked that she accompany him to the inspection room for a security check, but instead took her to the toilets.

The man denied any wrong doing.

An IAA official told Ynet: "An employee of the security unit of Ben-Gurion Airport was dismissed earlier this week for breaching conduct codes. The action was taken after a French passenger filed a complaint."

The spokesman added: "An immediate police and security unit probe led to the man's arrest and he gave a different version of events. He said the girl raised his suspicions and he asked her to accompany him for a security check."

The man told police that the tourist asked to enter the ladies' room and he followed her after noticing she was late.

The IAA said the man was fired because in both accounts he had clearly breached airport regulations.
