Bush: If Israel is attacked, US will come to its aid
US President George W. Bush said at the end of his meeting with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that the Iranian regime must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.
"Israel is a close friend and ally of the United States. In any event of an attack on Israel, the US will come to Israel's aid," Bush said during a joint press conference at the White House. (Ronny Sofer, Washington)
